89 burb 4x4 5.7L TBI. Truck died once, then restarted after pumping pedal like crazy. Went another mile before dying again after making a turn. replaced fuel filter, fuel on both sides when I unscrewed it. Has electric fuel pump in the tank. Replaced ignition module, no effect. No trouble codes on computer. Any ideas?

Fuel pump is dead!!! When you turn key on can you hear the fuel pump running in the tank? If you can't hear it running, bang on the tank a couple times with a rubber malet. If you can't hear it running the pump is dead.

Thanks for the tip. Checked the pump, coming on and pressuring up. Drug out the Manual, tested the coil with an analog ohm meter, not very accurate, but enough that I was willing to plunk down the coin for a new coil and lo and behold, she started! Thanks again Big Block.
