Hi,

my shiftmoment are bad.
i bought a recalibration kit but have some questions
.700r4

i pulled the governor .
on the governor there are 2 sides.
how controls the governor the shiftmoments?
i want lower my wot-shiftmoments(most important)and little raise the part throttle shiftpoints.
the side with the light spring and weight i have changed now with 1 step heavier weight.

who can help me?

Tom
UPDATE!
over here in europe almost no one understand the problem.,

i changed the weight/springs 3 times now.

the problem is that i get no 2-3 wot-shift.
with heavier weights i went with my 1-2 shift from 5600rpm to 4800rpm
with the latest combo my part throttle shifts are low and soft.
i used now the 2 heaviest weights one at a side.
i use a little heavy spirng one one side and the other side a light spring.

i want my 2-3 upshift also at 5300rpm and 1-2 also.
what can i do?
please

tom

what exactly controls the 1-2 shift and 2-3 shift?
there are so much stories on the internet going

Take a look at a Trans-Go shift kit for your tranny, at www.transgo.com. They have a very versatile kit and a video is included for the install. The first install will give you a neck popping shift and wake up your tranny. On the other hand the 700 R4 trannys have the capability to be upgraded to a heavier clutch pack, heavy duty planetary unit and is able to withstand some horsepower application with these updates.

Sounds to me that the TV valve is either hanging up or there is a ball stuck in the valve body. The tranny will work best with a corvette governor and a good shift improver kit. Where do you have the cable set at on the carb? Maybe you need to step it in a notch.
