To start a new topic, first go to the appropriate forum for your post.
Near the top is an icon called New Thread. Click that to begin creating your new topic.
You will be taken to the editor page

Below the editing box is a list of icons from which you can choose to represent your topic. These do not have to be used, and are shown to the left of the post title once it is published.

You can add smilies which are listed to the right of the editing box. You can also personalize your post with font styles and colors, bold text and more that will be explained later on.

You can then preview your new topic by clicking the preview post icon towards the bottom, or simply submit the topic by clicking the submit new thread icon.
