I go to Pull A Part about 5 times a day bringing in junks & you would die if you seen some of the sweet cars these morons bring in..and they aren't getting paid much, about $75 a ton...such idiots!!! I brought in a 69 C10...but it was rusted to hell....but I have seen some incredible cars...a bowtail Riveria about 3 weeks ago...dude probably only got $175 for it, IF that...could have sold that puppy on eBay for $700 any day of the week!

In your business you must get your heart tore out every day. A guy that I once thought was a friend (he calls me every time he finds a rust free beauty, after he stacks something on top of it and ruins it) has an old late 70's wrecker and just drives around looking for old scrap iron. He has hauled some real nice parts to be crushed. I wanted to get an old wrecker and try it but my wife pointed out that I would want to keep everything and we would starve to death. She's probably right.

No trust me, you would get soooooo sick of looking at all the parts lying around. My one room in my house if full of parts, it drives me crazy!!! But yea, most of the guys that "drag" the cars into pull a part don't know any better. They actually pull them in with ropes & chains too boot, while I have to have wrecker licenses, insurance, the proper lights, etc...that is what upsets me the most! Davidson county is supossed to be cracking down on it...lol..what a joke!

that truck was about 80% complete.
i seen one go last friday that was being pulled with a couple seat belts that had been tied together.
i am also guilty of going there and buying stuff i don't need. last friday was a perfect example. I went to buy a few pecies of trim. I found the trim i wanted and then bought a serpentine setup that had the pulley that takes the place of the a/c compressor.
i will be going back this friday to get a bumper i found if it is still there.

Car was beautiful. Made me sick today..I yanked the good parts off though, nice to have connections there.:metal:

A buddy of mine wanted to buy a MINT cab they had there and they wouldn't sell it to him.

They ended up letting him cut the whole roof off (no joke) so he could fix the rusty area around his windshiled of a truck I sold him (Andy's old truck).
