View Full Version : Add some wheels N2TRUX 08-25-2006, 09:41 PM Can someone please put these wheels on this truck? Looking at 22's so make them large...:) http://www.americaneaglewheel.com/images/categories/026.jpg XXL 08-26-2006, 09:21 PM q&d... XXL 08-26-2006, 09:29 PM and the obligatory lowering... N2TRUX 08-27-2006, 11:42 AM Thanks XXL, not bad for a Q&D. As much as I love the slammed look, this one's just getting a set of 22's and lowering shackle. This is the look I am after...:) N2TRUX 08-27-2006, 11:46 AM Here's my version 72CSTC5 08-27-2006, 11:47 AM Did you buy a 4wd? XXL 08-27-2006, 01:11 PM This is the look I am after...:) My scale-o-meter must be off. Last week I midgetized the bumper on the GMC and now I've got you hooked up with 28" wheels. Oops. N2TRUX 08-27-2006, 04:43 PM Did you buy a 4wd? No, it's a 2wd. The picture I swiped off of Chev.com is a 4wd but that the best I could find. XXL-Yeah they are a little large but I can tell what they look like. Actually it looks like 26's up front and 24's in the rear...:) redneckdds 08-27-2006, 05:21 PM this was my 04 with the same 22's.... only the rear has been lowered w/2" shackles... I have a few more if it helps... later kk N2TRUX 08-27-2006, 06:58 PM Sure I would love to see more pics. What size tires are you running? Did you have any problems with the tires rubbing? redneckdds 08-27-2006, 08:32 PM bro, these are all I can round up right now.... the tires were Nitto 404's 1st set 285/45/22, 2nd set 305/40/22... 285s never rubbed, the 305's would rub rarely if I went through a dip. I liked the look of the 305's later Zumo 08-28-2006, 11:40 AM N2, You gotta get some wheels that are more unique. Enjoy the truck. N2TRUX 08-28-2006, 07:11 PM Andy the problem is all the latest styles have rivets in them trying to emulate expensive bolt together 3 piece wheels. Having owned real 3 piece wheels in the past I can tell you the rivet/bolt thing is a major pain in the @ss to maintain. You simply can not clean around them without spending hours doing so. The Eagle 026's are a clean simple design that looks somewhat factory. Even though they also have rivets, there aren't as many as most wheels. Honestly if GM made the wheels I have pictured on the rendering above in a 22 I would buy them in a minute. Keep in mind this "is" a daily driver....:) Jonboy 08-30-2006, 05:03 PM Ken, for what it's worth, putthing the 20's on my '05 sucked the power right out of it. I went back and looked for the pics of it right after I got it, but I think they are probably long gone. I vote for smooth body colored door handles, too. N2TRUX 08-30-2006, 10:38 PM I may regret the taller tires, but I have had 20's on everything I have owned for the past 10 years. Surely I can't let outrageous gas prices stop me from blingin now. I'm really have mixed feeling about smooth painted handles vs painted surrounds and chrome handles. Since the truck is black, I think they bit of chrome will give it a bit of sparkle that it needs. bagged74 08-30-2006, 11:23 PM I really wanted a black one when we bought ours................but i knew better for a driver. I opted for silver birch. those wheels will look good on there, one of my buddies has those on his truck N2TRUX 08-31-2006, 07:39 AM I have owned a couple of black daily drivers in the past. I love the looks but hate trying to keep them clean. I don't think I will have this one long though. I need something to hold me over till the new GM trucks are available. Jonboy 08-31-2006, 08:12 AM My painter bought a black one just like that the day I bought mine. We put the painted handles on it and it made a world of difference. You can get teh painted tailgate handle and bezel now, too. The SS trucks and the Denali trucks both had them. We also added the Black SS grille and Front cover to Don's truck, and it looks pretty good. N2TRUX 08-31-2006, 08:42 AM Yeah I have a forum friend that works at a dealership so he can hook me up with the Denali or Escalade handles. I'm adding the chrome mirror caps, chrome Escalade handles, and pulling the stock door moulding. We are going to paint the front valance gloss black too. phantom dually 09-04-2006, 11:57 PM bro, these are all I can round up right now.... the tires were Nitto 404's 1st set 285/45/22, 2nd set 305/40/22... 285s never rubbed, the 305's would rub rarely if I went through a dip. I liked the look of the 305's later What BS are you running on the wheels?? I really want a 305 on my 22's also for the sidewall height factor. I do not want them to rub though. Ric83 09-06-2006, 12:28 PM I'm adding the chrome mirror caps, chrome Escalade handles, and pulling the stock door moulding. We are going to paint the front valance gloss black too. Sounds like a good plan. That is going to look too sweet!!:metal: |
