I`m there looking(trying too)at parts, but one thing...The pictures are too small! Is there anything that can be done?If that`s supersize,I`d hate to so small.I know I`m into that "slow to change" segment of life. But,change is cool when it`s for the better. From a member that has bought alot of parts from alot of members,it`s official,"I'm not at all impressed and feel the pictures feature is a waste. Can anything be done?

I have another observation.Sorry about all this, but I am only wanting to help. When viewing an item you get no info on the seller.Where`s the avatar, join date, option to check this through profile(I clicked "profile" and only got selling info),or signature.I saw a nice truck for sale for a good bit of money. The seller is one I`m not familiar with and I had no way of knowing if he just popped up here or is a longtime member that rarely posts.I don`t find the changes user friendly at all.I don`t believe a $25 fee is going to stop someone from getting on here and ripping someone off.I need more to go on and there`s less, now.I`m not suggesting this guy is up to no good, nor have I pointed my finger anyway. Not trying to make stink.I`m sure alot of defensive comments will follow.Just free to state my view, that`s all.

Only thing I don't see, but could have over looked it, is the linky
option at the top to take you back out to the main directory, if
you use the one at the bottom, it takes you all the way out, if
you could use forum jump it would help, but it's not there either.

as for the supersizing of pictures.. Did you guys click on the supersize word???
All the pictures in my sales are atleast 300x400, but you have to click on the supersize word to get them..

If you will give this new area a chance and learn all the features it has I think you will like it. I fixed the links so that in their board profile and their classifieds profile you can quick link to either one. As drink2mny said, if you click the supersize link it'll pop open a new window with a full size picture. Make sure you don't have popups blocked on this site and it should work fine. It works for me on firefox even with popups disabled.

How about instead of a flat "I don't like it" Tell me what you dislike about it so it can be improved. I understand with change it'll take awhile to be accepted but it's my belief this system will benefit us all in the end. It will decrease server load, allow the site to load faster during peak times, has an ebay style feedback system that should help prevent fraudulent sales once it's been used for awhile. And a host of other features I'm still working on.

cdowns, the Zip Code thing I'll look into. If you would PM me your zip code so I can use yours for testing and see why its acting screwy.

Thanks, Josh

I dont post much in there but i like the new style of it.I think it will just take some time to get used to is all and i think the feedback setup will be great after enough replys are made to it.Just think of ebay on there first week or so and noone had any feedback there to go by but now that is the most important part of it to me.When i clicked on the supersize for the pics it seems they are big enough for me.It would be nice to be able to jump to other forums from the classifieds but all i ever have to do is hit the back button anyway :) If you all dont like something what do you think would make it better? And maybe give it more of a try to get used to it :)

I honestly liked the old way too. It was easy to see everything on one page and if you wnted to investigate, you could. I don't know how else to describe it other than being "too busy"???????

I haven't started a thread on it yet but I have replied to a couple. The one thing I do like about the old one was how it brought a thread to the top when someone replied, I don't think this one does that. I think threads might not get looked at unless you go through it all. I'll get used to it though, change just takes time.

I like it FAR better than the old system, it makes for way quicker skimming- I find myself clicking on a lot less ads that i'm not interested in.

Thanks Josh.

I personally like the new set up. I like the format (More Organized!) although I can see the pics do seem rather small...but I like how most, if not all ads have pics! Keep up the great work Josh!

Thanks for the tip on "Supersizing".I was just clicking the picture. The bigger picture is an improvement.
I don`t think an Ebay-type feedback system is necessary here,in a closed community of members-only sales activity. All you need to do is spend a little time here and you can make your own evaluations about dealing with an individual.Feedback systems have their flaws and often the "real" story is not well represented,IMO.It`s like any statistic,it doesn`t tell the whole story.

special K I agree with you on the feedback :) its a joke that can be abused fully.. but we can only hope people don't do that. If there is abuse or such of it, and someone is wrongly givin bad feedback, notify an admin to look into it and change it.
I like the layout, the fact that posts expire when sold etc.. it will make life alot easier on the server and managing side of things. I also agree with pooper (71cheyenne) personally I think its easy to find items, and the different ways to sort the sales is kinda spiffy too.

I like the look of the new Classified but agree with Teeup. When someone replied to one of my old ads I knew it because it came to the top. Now I have to look for my ads to see if anybody replied.

Change is good

When they guys have replied to my ads i get an email stating that..
but when i replied to another persons ad i get no notice if he or she replies back...So i have to hurt my brain and remember what ad i was on in the past day...

Not sure if i missed a little box to click......i love clicking boxes.....

Josh, I am having trouble trying to post a new add in the classifieds section. I posted one nearly a week ago but now when I click to the classifieds section I find a red "X" where the "New Thread" should be. Also a red "X" in the search and quick link box. Do I need to change a setting, click on something or what is my problem? I will get used to the new classifieds but I did like the way a reply moved the posting to the top. Can that be re-instated as an option? Anyone else have trouble posting a New Thread in the classifieds?
