I've done a Ctrl ,Alt and Delete and can see what is running on startup , but I don't know what needs to be there and what doesn't .
If I remove something does that just mean I have to go to Start, programs to restart it ?
If you are going to ask me for a screen shot ,Oldtimer Disease has set in and I will need instructions again .

pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL only shows you what is currently running in the background. Trying to decide what should be there and shouldn't be is tricky, I only know because I've looked at and fixed more computers than I'd care to think about.

The easiest way (Sadly) to tell you what is safe to stop from starting up is to have you post a Hijackthis log - and I can weed through it and give you some advice (you can actually use Hijackthis to remove things from starting up, you just gotta know what is safe to take off and what isn't).
