Anybody have some pictures with a hood scoop, don't know if it's a good look or not...thanks lilpup69chevy 09-01-2006, 12:57 AM well i wouldn't think a scoop would look good on that body style but a cowl induction hood might look good if you could find one but anyways here is a good site that might have something you would like www.up22.com drewmangoo 09-01-2006, 12:48 PM thanks for the site. cst70rocket 09-01-2006, 01:29 PM Don't buy anything from UP22. Check the better business bureau. They have a complaint list as long as your arm. Their prices are cheap, but their products are horrible. lilpup69chevy 09-01-2006, 01:36 PM thanks for the info cst i've never used them just seen there ads in the mags drewmangoo 09-01-2006, 11:37 PM thanks for all the input. I'll keep seaching for a hood or just scoop. Joe67 09-02-2006, 11:12 AM Just a hood scoop on an otherwise stock truck can look bad IMO. It if compliments other mods they can look great. Things like lower stance, pro street chassis, etc :D Nice Cowl Hoods are a great mod to almost any RWD car or truck out there today :D twotons 09-04-2006, 01:49 AM http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a41/twotons/truck%20pics/DSCN2357.jpg Here is a pic of my hood i built several years ago and am still running today. jgrh64 09-04-2006, 10:11 AM How about www.usbody.com they also offer hoods are they any good ? twotons 09-04-2006, 05:15 PM They are real nice i just order one to replace mine, i am getting the 6 inch hood to clear my new engine and power adders, lol. jtm 09-16-2006, 01:08 PM anyone know source for stock hood? for a 64 ed455 09-18-2006, 08:07 PM Almost anything short of a REAL big blower will fit under the hood of a 60-66. I fit a tunnel ram, carbs, two inch carb spacers, and 4" air cleaners inder the stock hood on my 66. I wanted it to stick out and finally just gave up and went back to a single quad (made more power with the single). A friend of mine has a big blower with dual quads and spacers on a big block in his 65 and the air scoop only stuck out 1/2". What power adder are you using that gives that much height?? |
