I love my 68 step side and within the next few months i am going to redo the sound system. Well my other hobby is playing guitar. So, is there anyone here that has heard of a way to hook a guitar 1/4" jack into the car so you can plug the guitar in and hear it through your sound system..
any info AT ALL would be appreciated...

I am pretty sure that some of your aftermarket headunits that have an input jack for like I pods and stuff can take an adaptor so that a guitar can plug in, not sure though.

For an update on this subject. I did get it to work actually.
My clarion CD player(and most new cd players) come with an AUX rca-in jack on that back..mainly used for a dvd player or mp3 player. I substituted

this little jack..found at mainly any music store. I then plugged my guitar in and jam-out on my car stereo.. I do have to turn the volume up almost all the way to get sound out due to low pre-amp voltage out on my cdplayer.

a friend of mine wired a rca jack to his 8 track head in his old van when he decided to become an insirational speaker down by the river[ he also used it for his guitar]
