If I'm posting this in the wrong forum would someone please have a mod move it for us. Anyway, One of my buds is the manager at Oreilly's auto parts in Lafayette Georgia. He is a fellow gearhead and auto enthusiast and is trying to get a local cruise-in started. As of now his plans are to have a get together/meet/BS sessions on the third saturday night of September and October. As far as I know it's going to be pretty high on the informal/laid back side. This is his first time trying this and he's hoping for a good turn out. He said that if it goes well he should be able to talk the regional manager into approving door prizes and giveaways for future events. Those not from the area should be aware that this is not your typical auto parts store parking lot. The store was formerly the Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership in town. So needless to say the lot is quite large! I would guess that there is room for a couple hundred cars if they were parked correctly. So if you guys need somewhere to go to keep you off the streets for a while, he is shooting for 6-9pm on both dates. If anyone needs any info, post your questions in a reply to this post in case others have the same inquiry.

Hey Asa -
Still haven't got together with you.

I will try my darndest to get to that. I am finishing up my aftermarket A/C install right now, so I should be ready for that.

Well, that's the 16th and the 21st, right?
Perhaps I won't be done with the A/C install for September...that's this Saturday.
If nothing else, I may just try to ride down this weekend. I may not be able to bring Orange, but I'd like to support the effort any way I can.

Guess this means you ain't going to Rod Run?

What about the show/cruise-in at the drive-in theater next week? It's supposed to be big!

Dalton I keep waiting for you to pop up somewhere at the same time I'm around! Yep those dates are correct but I'm not going to the one in Oct (it's the same day as Craig's BBQ). We have been invited by two different groups to go to the Rod Run and my wife really wants to go, but I told my bud that I would come to his store for this cruise. I am afraid the turnout is going to be hurt by the Rod Run and Nopi being the same weekend. I have a few guys from a Camaro board that I am a member of saying that they are coming but who knows. He's got a great spot for a cruise but I think he should have took more time trying to promote it. We talked about hitting the drive-in but I haven't seen any real info on it. In all honesty me and a bunch of others have been mumbling about just driving over to hang out and watch the movies. Anyhow, hope you can make it Saturday.

The cruise in went well I think! I feel like a dork for not making any pics but I was to busy running my mouth. There were a handful of nice trucks there including a clean little stepside with an underhood blower. There is another cruise planned for next month but I wont be there, I'm going to the world famous LUV BBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:metal: :metal: :metal: :metal: :metal: :metal:

Like you I can't believe we haven't popped up on one another yet.

I haven't seen anything on the web about the thing at the theater this Friday - but their website does give some info.

I am in a push to get my truck done for it.
I just finished my A/C mock up Saturday - got sick, and now I got to put it all back together and clean in the evenings. Quite a task ahead of me.

Anyhow - if you think you might be able to make it out, let me know or something (PM or I think you have my cell phone #).

I will post that site on here and give folks a 4 day heads up.
