I JUST BOUGHT AN `05 TRAILBLAZER , IT HAS KEYLESS ENTRY BUT DID NOT COME WITH ANY REMOTE CONTROLS. I HAVE A CONTOL FROM A WREAKED TRUCK, DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO REPROGRAM IT TO MATCH THE NEW TRUCK. THANKS:crazy:

The newer remotes have to be programmed by the dealer or locksmith with the proper equipment. I just had one programmed by the dealer. Here is a link that has programming for all makes.

The 05's have to be programmed by the dealer with a tech 2 and the candi machine.( it is a module that hooks to the tech 2 )

Thanks for the info. I went to the programyourremote site and learned that the 04 trailblazer can be done DIY. My title showes it to be an 05 but it was built 8/04. so I used the steps for an 04 and the truck did what it was suposed to but the remote still didnt work. maybe I`v got the wrong type remote.???

August 04 could have been built after the "summer vacation" and hence your Trailblazer could be an '05...But your VIN will tell you exactly what year. And DMV won't confuse it either!!

If you are in good with a GM dealer, especially service folks, they would probably do it for free.
