Can you airbrush experts recommend some good sites for tips on airbrushing?. Would love to find a board like our truck site:metal:

Not really airbrush specific, but some cool artwork! http://sketchkult.com/phpBB/index.php

like shortwide said, airbrush.com is the top, more advice than you can fathom. i've learned the most through this site from Rigo actually. i think "paint what you see, not what you think" helped the most. havent been on airbrush.com in years because i get most of my critiques through the local guys now and i dont really have time for more than a few boards.

I finally found a class being offered in my area at an art store and I signed up for the classes today:metal: Now I need to buy an airbrush. I'm sure I would want the flexability of a dual action but I still need to know about internal or external and gravity feed or siphon feed:confused: I will get either Paasche or Iwata but their are so many models in their lineups I'm not sure which is best. It's between the Paasche VL or the Iwata Revolution (R2000 or R4500) or the Eclipse (ECL2000M). I only want to spend $75 max on my first one.

forget pasche, get an iwata eclipse. i bet you could spend 75 on a revolution and love it, but want another real soon, or spend 150 on a eclipse and have it forever. the guys on tv are using eclipse's when they arent doing tiny stuff. they are the workhorse airbrushes. microns and hi-lines are for painting stuff on the head of a pin, but for everyday shadows and highlights the eclipse top feed is all you need.

>X< - Is the gravity fed type the best way to go regardless of what model I choose?. What specific model number are you recommending?.

Along with the eclipse I would recommend the Iawata HP-C. That's what I use for everything and it's a great brush.

Thanks for all the info so far!. It looks like double action and gravity fed are the way to go. That helps me narrow it down but I still didn't want to spend a ton on my first one in case I don't stick with it. I guess replacement parts and accessories are easy to get online also???
