I have a 1987 1500 with a 305 EFI and i have problems with my throttle body. receently i changed out my oil pan becasue it rotted through. When i was all done installing a new oil pan i went to start the truck and and it just wouldent fire. I am getting good spark all around and my fuel pumps are working so i do get gas to the throttle body. If i poor alittle gas down the top of it it will fire just poorly. I have a feeling that either my throttly body is bad or i am not getting power to it. I am considering taking it to a shop to have them test the two plugs on top of the it to see if it is getting power. If anyone has any ideas what might be wrong with it or any thing that i should check please let me know.
NOTE: it ran perfect before the oil pan swap.

thanks - nick

throttle bodys... they just don't go bad.
I would look at the fuel pressure, just becouse you hear the fuel pump, doesn't mean you're getting the 35PSI (or what ever it needs) to spray the fuel.

Those injectors on the throttle body should make it easy to see if they are working...I recommend you use a flashlight and not a lighter to check though.
Did you re-connect ~everything~ you disconnected to work on the engine? One side of those injectors should have +12V, the other side may as well, as it should ground itself thru the ECM to fire the injectors. Definetely determine if you have enough fuel pressure for you system. Did you check for blown fuses?
