I have a 74 that I hope to one day pilage, well borrow permanently, some of its parts and pieces. Mostly the drivetrain and the AC stuff.

I'm pretty sure the 72 rear air option was the same one or at least looks the same as the 73-up rear air. Long hoses and some mounting it should work. In fact there was a beautiful 67-68 on these pages about 5 months ago that had one set up in it and it looked great.

I'll have to do some searching to find it foryou perhaps someone else has it bookmarked.

Mechanically-wise they may be the same or similar, but the shell is definitely different (it may still work). My Dad has a '74 with rear AC, so I'm somewhat familiar with it. Just off the top of my head, the '74 unit does not have visible drain hoses at the back and the vents are different. I can take a closer look at it if you'd like.

Keep us updated. I'd love to see some pics of your 68. Especially being a 3/4 ton 4x4.
