Well the tahoe turned 115k the other day and the 1000k over haul is long over do. I did the front diff fluid the rear diff with the posi additive, tranny got flushed and filter today. needs to have the rad flushed. I will also flush the power steering myself. Basically i will do most of this myself with the exception on the trans and rad flush that the dealer will do. So i need to do some New spark plugs, and clean the tB. On the spark plugs is there anything that you guys suggest?
2000 tahoe ls 4x4
also Is ther any things that i should also pay close attention to? I am also cleaning rust on the frame and body and re painting.
Thanks

Don not forget to drain and fill the transfer case. I would replace the plugs if it has 100k on it. Also look at the pcv valve. The dealership I work at, we have a very good fuel system service that is a 4 part system. 1. goes in the fuel tank. 2. Down the intake. 3. We block off the fuel sending and return lines and hook the machine directly into the lines. This allows the vehicle to run off the cleaner only. 4. Clean the tb. The product line is called BG. I have had a lot of luck with it. Here is a link to their site: http://www.bgprod.com Sorry for the long rant. (And no I do not work for them.) Also, pay attention to the intake gaskets. The 5.7 have a tendency to leak.

If it is a new style Tahoe it is 5.3... If it is the Square style it is 5.7

Sounds like you got it all covered, might wanna change the air in the tires and top off the headlight fluid.
One of my buddies continuously rants about chevy changing to the 5.3, "they shoulda never got rid of the 5.7" blah blah blah. The thing is, he's never owned anything with a 5.3. I don't arque the point either way, having owned both I think they're both great dependable engines.

A stock 5.3 has more HP and Torque than the older 5.7L The new ones will have even more, I think the '07 trucks will be rated around 320 HP. 1999 was the last year of the 5.7 in trucks, it was phased out by the 2000 model year, so there should not be any 5.7L trucks/tahoes/burbs after 1999. I need to do my truck soon, it's at 93K. Good info.

He is talking about a tahoe and they didnt change body style until mid 2000. They have classic models and the newer models in 2000. Classic have a 5.7 and the newer models had the 5.3

platinum plugs ... I love the power in my 2005 Tahoe with the 5.3, loved the 2001 that I had as well.... The 2003 Z71 Burb was a little underpowered with the 5.3 though...
