ok, slowly working on the '64 i bought...willl be putting in front disc brakes and power steering within the next couple of weeks. have been grinding and sanding and have torn the worn out bed out (sort of custom replacing it for now, may get kit later depending on how bad i screw it up)...short of getting a couple of pieces of metal in my left eye, it has been fun...here is my most immediate need.

behind the visor on the driver's side is a rusted hole...actually it is a cut out hole now. I am looking for a junked 64-66 that has the headliner intact so i can cut the piece out and weld it back into place on mine...anyone know of any around where they are that are av for that?

Why not just build it from scratch? Anything you cut out from an older truck will warp and take alot of work to refit anyway. the metal is double walled there, so you may as well just patch it soundly then build what ever lines you need out of bondo, or just cover it up with a custom headliner built out of masonite covered with foam and some nice material.

part of problem is hole encompasses the lip that the window gasket goes on. fabrication my be only option but have had a couple of guys here say it would be easier to cut the piece from another chevy.

i like the headliner idea. was thinking abobut trying to make one...who is impala bob?

It Would Be Easier To Cut One From Another Year. If You Can Find Someone That Will Let You . You Should Be Able To Find One That Will If You Have The Time. Most Times They Want Us To Buy The Whole Cab
