I have a few small interior pieces I want to paint (steering column, brackets etc) and was wondering if there is a quality spray paint I could use for this. What is the difference between using a quality (if there is such a thing) spray paint vs using automotive paint sprayed from a gun for this purpose. Does anyone know of a high quality spray paint (black) they could recommend for this purpose? Thanks in advance. M

Krylon has always worked great for me when it comes to painting small parts. Another quality "rattle can" paint is Sem.
Krylon can be found at most auto parts stores and home improvement joints, but the Sem products are typically in automotive paint stores.

scuff and clean the surface really well w/ a good degreaser until the surface is super clean before painting.

The best spray paint I have used is the Rustoluem Industrial. This sprays good and drys to a nice finish. I put this on my kids go-kart I built 2 years ago and it still looks good.
