View Full Version : Problem with "editing" a post
When I go to edit a post (mine or someone else's doesn't matter) and click "Save" nothing happens (other than the little arrow coming up). I have to "go advanced" then hit save and it works. I've tried it on several computers with the same result.
hrm.. i never use advanced and it works fine for me. So here go the normal questions.. what style, have you tried other ones and can ya get a screen shot of what it does when it does
I've used the default format, and as far as a screen shot, if you click the "Edit" button on bottom right, the screen that pops up for that is the one you get, it doesn't change back to normal when you click on "save"
Does it with Default-blue also
Default -fixed width
jyj
boss hogg
liz rocks and she is testing this on my post on default blue right now
edit two
edit three advanced ways
edit on old default
jyj style
is it your connection timing out on the redirect maybe? im gonna switch themes n keep playing but it works fine for me
i cant get the issue to reproduce krue.. i think it has to do w it timing out, im not sure tho
It only takes a second (the little round arrow comes up by the Save button, then it goes away and nothing has changed). This is on the high speed at work too.
hrm it hates you (this is liz, krue aint lost his mind .. yet..)
Works for me too-N2TRUX
when it comes up for me ( on default blue ) the lil round swirly thing goes there for a second, then it goes straight to the edited post.
I think your just bein a pita  ( or i have nfc.. kinda like drinks user cp issues)
I get the swirly, but other than the screen flickering while it swirls, nada, zip , zilch, zero.
hmm.. i have NO CLUE and have searched ( a little anyway ) for a similar issue.. nodda
It's not doing it now (at the house), don't know, maybe I'm
omg! i think you were bored ;)
glock35ipsc 10-24-2006, 01:01 PM FWIW, I've noticed differences in functions between using Explorer, Firefox, and Netscape. The edit feature almost never worked right when using Netscape, but always has with Firefox and Explorer.
From what I have read in the past, vBulletin is optimized for ie and firefox. There have been issues with Netscape, safari, opera etc.
