Date of the event has been confirmed and everybody is welcomed to come. All I ask is to confirm you are coming by the 17th, so I know how much food to buy.

Location: White House, Tennessee---About 15 miles north of Nashville off of I-65 exit 108. For exact driections PM me and I will give detailed directions to my door step.


I'll supply food, just bring a dessert. Probably grille some burgers up for everybody.


I have plenty of room here at the house, not as many acres as Luv, but a lot less trees and a concrete driveway unlike in the picture.

Just checked my school calender and spring break is the 12-16 so as long as its not on the 17th I am good, either of the other two dates and I should be able to make it. I am just guessing but the 24th would probably be better for me, the 31st is probably about when the park will be reopening for its summer hours and I may have to work.

The youngest has a birthday on the 18th, so the party could go either way....so I chose 31st.

Listen guys, I'm not opposed to putting it on the weekend after Easter if everybody thinks that will be better. I know the later we do it the weather will be better.

If we move into april that makes me a maybe, it depends on if I am still working at the park or not in the spring. But I should be able to get off any weekend as long as I give my boss plunty of notice.

I just voted for the later date because the weather, it doesn't matter to me if it is the 24th. Whatever is best for all. I will have vacation time if I need it and only a little more than an hour drive time.

overall I prefer the March one, after that you run the risk of shows :(

I looked at this years Car Show Schedule and the only thing that might conflict is the Memphis Super Chevy Show. It was on April 21-23 this year. So hopefully they'll keep it on the same weekend.

Doesn't matter, I plan on attending. My project should be finished by then.

Does anyone have any info about the nats in 07? I heard Charlie was selling the show rights. :crazy: After the flop it was last year, I'd be suprised if he has it this year. :whine:

Last year at Maggie valley was my first Nat's. The experience was great. In spite of rain, and not as large of participant turnout as some previous events it wasn't short on substance. My experience was further heighten by the meeting of board members from CGITC as well as 67-72 and MOT. The camaraderie of the truck crowd is second to none. I have already made plans to be there in 07 and even got the wife interested in going. (and that's no small feat) So hopefully the powers that be will see fit to put the show on and do what ever it takes to make it a success.

It's never to early to start a party but it's way to early to let this thread die. We have a reputation to live up to so let's get the B.S. started.

I wasn't going to let it die, but i think I'm going to make an executive decision and pick a date. I'm leaning toward April 14th, just because it's a little later and no one has said NO to it. This way Margaret and Drew can ask off and it's not on the weekend of any major shows in TN, AL, MS, or KY. At least that's looking at last year's Car Show schedule.

Sometimes ya just grab the bull by the horns and do it. I picked a date and it all came together and I think yours will too. It should be a little warmer than last year so if that is it go for it. So ok guys and gals here we go. We had almost 600 posts on Luvs get together and 24 or 25 pages. Let's git-er-done with a new record.

Okay, well here goes----April 14th it is. I hope that everybody can make it and I hope this gives enough time for people to ask off and make plans.

Ron-the projects are going okay. I've gotten about 5 calls on the burb, and one looker. No takers as of right now. Almost got the whole front end of the blazer off, only thing on is the hood and fenders. Got one side of the rear brakes off and torn down. Can't seem to get the driver's side rear tire off and I'm fighting with the Air Compressor and Regulator. Last but not least, the silver one is still blowing fuses on the electric fan, luckily it's not been warm and really doesn't need it running.

Ok so April 14th, i will try to get off but since I don't start working until April 1st I can't swear, as long as they have hired atleast one more guy by then I can have the weekend off, otherwise I will have to sit this one out.

Typically, the good events are always on a drill weekend and unfortunately that is a mandatory drill and I can't get out of it.

After going back through the posts the only one with only one day that he can make it is Luv and that is on the 24th. The question now would be has anybody got a problem with the 24th of March. Just call me an old softy but this cookout marks my 1 year anniversary of meeting board members for the first time. A lot has happened in the last year and I'm glad I was around to watch and help make it happen. Luv and Yellow were the first two that I met in person and on line for that matter. I have been working on cars for as long as I can remember, been driving tractors and ATVs for as long as I can remember, started cutting tobacco at 11, oddly enough I have never broken a bone:crazy: the worst thing that has ever happen to me is I cut my thumb open at the base all the way to the bone, of all the stupid stuff I have done injury free guess what I cut myself with...
