I looked at a new truck the other day on GMC lot. It had rust on the edges of frame and underside mounts and brackets in quite a few areas. The stock paint/undercoat was peeling and had flakey rust in many areas. I looked a several other new ones nearby, several used ones and wifes 04 burb and none had this issue. Truck had 10 miles on it when I 1st saw it. Any idea whats up or to be worried about?

Was the truck on a New truck lot????or a scum bag lot. Some unscrupules folks will roll back speedos and sell totaled rigs as other than what they are.....were... I've been burned that way before...That guy still owes me $162,000.00 in damages.

New reputable GMC lot in town of 150K. I asked sales guys to get me shop tech explaination but never heard back. The sales guys always walk away when your not ready to buy that day.

hmm interesting. maybe it was a promo truck or maybe it was a factory defect.
