Palf70Step 11-14-2006, 12:37 PM I dunno... I'm taking normal T-day treck to the mother-in-laws. I eat GOOD, so I don't care how she cooks it. And I don't have to clean up afterwards.
project1971 11-14-2006, 12:41 PM Yeah i like going to my sisters and mother in laws house.... don't have to clean up! they have all been trying to get the meals at my house since it's the newest and biggest but i told them NO WAY! Don't like that many people in my house! Love the family though! Getting turkey this saturday since brother is flying in, next thursday with wifes family.
stingray72 11-14-2006, 03:23 PM Nobody in my family eats Turkey... I hate it.
Dunno what we'll have for dinner
67ChevyRedneck 11-14-2006, 03:27 PM Don't forget enough copies of the "Thanksgiving Obesity Liability Waiver" for the whole family

Your list sounds great though!
This year we're going to have a big ass ham and a deep fried turkey... MMMMM
I LOVE TURKEY DAY!
Shane 11-14-2006, 03:39 PM I'm scheduled to deep fry 2 or 3 birds for the family ... I love this time of year.
sneakysnake 11-14-2006, 03:46 PM I'm scheduled to deep fry 2 or 3 birds for the family ... I love this time of year.
You cant beat a deep fryed turkey, man thats good.
shortymac83 11-14-2006, 03:55 PM We have a dutch oven specifically made for turkeys and chickens. It's got a cone in the middle with holes in it, so it smokes the turkey from the inside out. Dump 2 cans of beer and some salsa in the bottom to give it a moist, rich flavor, and you ahve the best bird ever. Bad thing is, it only goes up to about 18 lbs, so it wouldn't be able to fit our real thanksgiving bird.

Man that sounds good! I just give a 12 pounder or 2 a bath in tabasco sauce and deep fry it!

N2TRUX 11-15-2006, 07:54 AM I'm scheduled to deep fry 2 or 3 birds for the family ... I love this time of year. That's what we do. The women do all the prep in the kitchen while the men sit on the back porch and deep fry turkeys. Well actually we all sit around and bs while my bro-in-law cooks. It is his fryer after all...;)
stingray72 11-15-2006, 08:29 AM We have a dutch oven specifically made for turkeys and chickens.
I put my GF in the "dutch oven" the other night.. She didn't appreciate it too much..
Stingray72 you haven't had one cooked right!
I'd be more than willing to try anyones but in 29 years I haven't found one I really liked.. I've got to be running out of recipe's.
Turkey doesn't gross me out or anything I just don't care for it enough not to eat it...
