Ironhorse 12-27-2006, 09:27 PM Sorry but tow hooks are sold. I thought I had posted as such but guess my mind ain't what it used to be. msgross 12-27-2006, 10:36 PM thanks... Woogeroo 12-30-2006, 11:00 PM just curious... where do they mount on the truck? -W Ironhorse 12-31-2006, 08:07 AM They mount on the front frame horns of the truck on the outer flat surface of the metal frame itself. Some trucks are factory drilled for the hooks if they were ordered as option. Not sure about the 60-66 era but my '71 4x4 which uses a differant style hook was not drilled for them. The hooks mount with the curl or open end pointing back to rear of truck. Do a search for "tow hooks" and should be some pics available. :) LUV2XCLR8 12-31-2006, 08:32 AM just curious... where do they mount on the truck? -W Kinda like this (This is a 72 style, but it's close to that) ;) msgross 12-31-2006, 09:12 AM so the twist points inward not outward? The 60-68 style have less of a twist but I was trying to figure that one out. Woogeroo 01-01-2007, 10:38 PM Ironhorse and LUV2XCLR8, thanks for the information. Good stuff. -W |
