I just booked the last non smoking room at the Comfort Inn. As of right now we are planning on heading up thursday after work. Probably going to leave the Interstate about Loudon and make a pass through Deal's Gap and come on over through Cherokee. We still haven't decided which truck to bring.:metal:

That's why I jumped in when I did. Last year nobody knew what was going on and we got lucky. If you want a room there I wouldn't wait any longer..

There are NO TWIN bed rooms left, and only a handfull of KING beds left,

Ron I am torn as to what truck I want to run through the gap. The K10 has a manual trans so I can kind of use the engine to slow er down. But the flip side of the coin is a lot of lift, no swaybars and tires with tractor like tread. The C10 on the other hand has been lowered and has wide low profile tires as well as a swaybar from a ton truck and a quick ratio steering box. I may drive both trucks through there on Thursday night and just come back in the C10 Saturday with the group. Or.......I could bring one truck and the 350Z along.......Who knows.

Still checking. I checked the mileage from the cabin to the fairgrounds and it was about 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Pretty sure that idea is out for me. After driving almost 5 hours to get there, I really don't want to be making that drive several times over the weekend.

No I don't have any shocks laying around. I have to buy front and rear for the 67 frame I bought. I'll look at the blue 72 and see what's on it. If they look good you can have them.

Don't know if any of you guys have already booked a room, but I just got off the phone with the Holiday Motel and they have a good price. $45 for a single queen room and $55 for a double room.

Looks like just a basic motel, nothing fancy, but it is right across the street from the show and it's almost half the price of the Comfort Inn. They seemed like nice folks when I talked with them. If it's like last year and I know it will be I didn't spend any time in my room unless I was sleeping anyway. :)

The man said it was right across the street from the show. I stayed at the Comfort Inn last year, but after they raised the price of the room $30 per night I'll find somewhere else to stay. All I need is a bed to sleep in.
