OK guys now for the convoy/carpool location. I plan to take my truck with coolers, tables, and cooking junk but still don't know if my wife and MIL is going or not. That can change up until I pull out of the driveway. So who else is going to meet us Friday and run up to Maggie valley?

I am considering taking off that Friday and catching the caravan as it comes through K-town.
As for the cookout Sat I'm in, don't know who at this time will be with me but I'm sure that they will eat also.

Just around the corner now. Haven't heard much out of Pickles lately. Are you still going to try to run over with us. We won't have anything to lead the convoy this year so we can slide into town unnoticed. I have my stuff gathered so all I'll have to do is load up and go when the time comes. Just wait and see how many of my crew make it.

We made our reservations just now at the holiday motel. We'll be there late Friday, staying Saturday night and leaving out Sunday afternoon.

Looks like everything is set. We are staying at a hotel that I can't remember the name of and should be in sometime on Friday. This is the first show that I'll be able to take my blazer to and it still isn't really ready. It'll have to be good enough. I haven't registered yet, but I plan to send it out tomorrow (hope it's not too late). Here is a sneak peek.

Thanks for the positive comments about the truck. I guess I'm going no matter what. I've got a little windshield leak that worries me, but I don't have time to get it sealed (May try to patch it myself). I've been trying to get ready for this show since last year. My blazer won't be as far as I wish it was, but it will have to do. Tonight the weather channel says 40% chance Friday and 30% Saturday. I'll be traveling back roads from North Georgia through Murphy, Andrews, and Cherokee. We'll see you there.

Josh talked with the holiday motel about setting up using the hotel for next year and all.. we have spoken to the owner about that aspect and will try to do what we can to get your money back Keith. I dont know what we can or cant do, but they will know if they screw you over they will not get the sites business.

I just found out tonight that I have to make a side trip to take a bed to Greenville SC on Thur. and drop it off at my son's house. I spend the evening hanging out with my grandkids because they are to busy to come to the truck show on Sat. the way I had it planned. So no convoy on Fri. 1 less day to get all this crap cleaned and loaded. Figure out how to get a full size mattress down there in the rain without it getting wet. And I have Doctors appointments all day tomorrow until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Ah what the Hell, if it was easy everybody could do it. See you in Maggie valley Fri. evening.

I've got the truck clean and ready to roll through the rain. I'm still planning on making a pass through deal's gap on the way up and on the way home. I think I managed to get everything I need in the suitcase. My luggage takes up a lot more space when I actualy have to pack long pants and socks! I got me a new cooler today so I've got plenty of room for my grub. And yes the blender is sitting in the living room floor as well as my little friend Jose. I'm clocking out of work tomorrow sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 hoping to be rolling north within a half hour of that. If it rains to much we'll all just seek higher ground!:metal:

Well it looks like after I get my son off to school friday,Me ,my wife,and my brother-n-law and his wife will be bringing the trucks to the show!It will probably be around 8 before we leave that morning,and around 1 before we get to maggie valley!! Hi folks, well I smoked past the Maggir valley exit this morning about 10 am. I came on down to my sons place in SC so am chillin out down here. Will be back up tomorrow afternoon as I will be helping my son and grand daughter move some stuff around.

Robb, I brought 2 big weber grilles with me. Have 2 18lbs bags of charcole and enough to build a fire. 2 24 packs water. 10 12 packs of soft drinks iced down (yeah 1 12 pack of diet dr. Pepper) so you wouldn't go into withdraw. So bring food or something to put it on as I have the rest covered. See you in a few buddy.

hey all i got in to maggie around 930 tonite and the truck did way better than i thought it would :metal: it ran around 70 to 75 most the way here and that was a little over 4 grand on the tach:) i was going to go back roads all the way here but i had to get in 81 at one point and the truck seamed to love goin on it so there we stayed :rolleyes:
i got to meet up with woodridge and ron586 and luv and tim c and deland and bryan ,all who i have meet before :)
and me and david and ron got to meet j and liz in person finlly :c2:
anyway hope everybody makes it here safe and sound
and we will try to keep everybody updated this weekend

they all went to breakfast a few ago. I am a lazy type person so I just got up n will be headin over to the show in 30 or so.. It just started raining again, so lets hope it clears out fast

I hope everyone has a good time. I don't post alot but enjoy reading about our trucks. Were a couple of hours away and planned to leave early this morning but I swapped in a new motor this week and #5 plug (angle plug heads) hits the hedder tube. Was hoping to meet some of the board members, maybe next year.
