That little step up that you left looks funny. OR something I cant put my finger on it, it just dont look right to me somehow. Other than that it looks great! abadsvt 06-27-2008, 11:08 PM Looks awesome!!! BACKYARD88 06-28-2008, 01:25 AM Looks good B! Glad to see it worked out. Now, we need to see a clip on it:D 5150 07-30-2008, 06:59 PM Okay guys, well she's gone to the body shop. I had an option to take it down to the NADC and have them do it all. I know I had told most of you that my friend Tommy that is the head body instructor down there told me that he could paint it but they couldn't do anything else. Well, he ended up calling me and telling me that he could take it down there and do the whole thing which would save me a TON of money, but I decided to go a different route thanks to Mandi. I asked her about it to get her opinion and she said that she thought I wanted the blazer to be more then the silver truck. Then she called me silver truck a 30 footer Happy, which I've called numerous times. So since she was right I decided to go with my buddy Jason Bullock at Bullock's Body Works. He is very good. Here are a few links to some of his work. Most of the stuff he's known for is mini-truckin but he's built several other hot rods. There was a really nice copper 32 Ford with creme wheels at Goodguys he built also. Not a fan of that first link Crazy but he said that's what the owner wanted. He builds his own frames and they're pretty sweet. Craig saw some of his work at last years Goodguys. He's a real nice guy who's is working on a 49 five window but he's thinking about putting a 54 front end on it. Trying to get him on the board, I'll get him sooner or later. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Jason+Bullock+truck&btnG=Search http://www.elitestreetsmagazine.com/magazine/2004/oct-dec/feature5.php http://www.truckinweb.com/features/0102tr_1994_gmc_sonoma/index.html http://www.minitruckinweb.com/constructionzone/2006/0610mt_under_construction_mini_truck/index.html Well, here it is as we made it to the parking lot, screeching tires and all http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6515.jpg Here is his massive Tour Bus Paint Booth http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6514.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6516.jpg Here is a 88-98 that he is working on. So you left the motor in to have it painted?? Can they reach everywhere they need to around the motor when painting??? If you dont mind me asking, how much will the paint job cost ya? jamie72 07-30-2008, 08:54 PM good luck brian, can`t wait for an update!! FRENCHBLUE72 07-30-2008, 09:12 PM Thats gonna look killer... 5150 07-30-2008, 10:39 PM I'm going to Line-X the firewall, at least that's my plan. They can get to it all. BACKYARD88 07-31-2008, 12:22 PM Pics of the paint yet:D J/K 5150 07-31-2008, 07:40 PM did you passenger side rocker get dinged up? not unless you that something happen today that I don't :) thirdstreettito 07-31-2008, 09:00 PM Its just black paint, it looks hurt at first glance. tvblazer78 08-01-2008, 07:43 AM Ya any pics B? Hart_Rod 08-01-2008, 01:48 PM Your build is coming along nicely. It shouldn't be to much longer and you'll be hitting the cruizin scene, :D. meathead95 08-01-2008, 04:17 PM what color did you decide on? jkade 08-01-2008, 08:58 PM you got that thing lookin sick!!! keep up the good work. BACKYARD88 08-01-2008, 10:18 PM Ditto on the color Q.:fb: my67chevytruck 08-01-2008, 11:08 PM looking nice... Great progress. 5150 08-02-2008, 12:10 AM Still not sure on the color. I know lots of guys know a color before they even tear into a truck, but I kind of wishy washy on it. I've thought about the flat idea, but then I worry about how easy it is to scratch those things. I like a charcoal that I've had my eye on and it would look good with my grey center Coys. ANY IDEAS ON COLORS???? I'll take all suggestions FRENCHBLUE72 08-02-2008, 04:20 AM gunmetal gray would be my choice. 5150 08-02-2008, 04:24 AM that was also a thought BACKYARD88 08-02-2008, 11:44 AM No flat!!! I think flat looks great on some vehicles, but yours deserves something nice and shiny:D IMO a darker color but not black. Dark gray, deep maroon(almost black), very dark blue. I'm rambling:rolleyes: jkade 08-02-2008, 03:53 PM I love the color combo on this car, I can't remember what he said they where but I can find out on them. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z144/jkade72/0803rc_02_z1956_chevy_wagongreat_8_.jpg I played with the colors on mine in photoshop but I am still up in the air about it. http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z144/jkade72/Traizerpainted.jpg Cyclone44 08-03-2008, 07:50 AM That looks great Bryan.....I thought you said you can't do anything else other than police work ?? Looks to me like you can !! Gunmetal gray would look great....:metal: 5150 08-03-2008, 08:17 AM .I thought you said you can't do anything else other tthan police work ?? Well, I should have said..."and make money" :) Richard8971 08-06-2008, 11:33 AM Orange.... sweeeeeeettttt. byrd 08-06-2008, 06:28 PM gunmetal gray would be my choice. I second that, esp with the coys to bring it all together. BTW this blazer is going to be freakin' SWEET!!! 5150 08-06-2008, 06:41 PM Well, the saga of the blazer took a twist today. Bullock(my body guy) took a job back with the Nashville Auto Diesel College. Not that big of a deal, I'm going over to his shop tomorrow and going to bring the blazer over to his house. I guess the only downside is that he won't be working on it full-time. Just at night when he gets off work. So in other words the patience bug bites again Well, I went back over to Jason's garage today and he was getting the last of his things out of it. I towed the blazer over to his house which is about 3 miles away. We started talking and he's got me making a few body mods. We're(like I'm doing any of it) going to cut off the front of the door arm so when the door opens it's just the door and not the vent window frame. Also going to cut 2-3 inches out of the windshield and cut off the top of it like this orange one. BACKYARD88 08-06-2008, 07:59 PM Cool!:D FRENCHBLUE72 08-06-2008, 08:04 PM Good idea I really didnt like that bump action on the door anyways... 5150 08-17-2008, 06:32 PM Okay guys, just stopped by there and it looks awesome. He's a little pissed at the previous guy like I am. Said they didn't even weld the pass side rocker in just used filler. He told me that he was going to make a true roadster out of it and take 3 inches off of the windshield. I told him I trust him and his style so take any liberties that you want with it. He told me he took 3 inches and it didn't look good, so he took 2 inches more for a total of 5. He finished shaving all of the holes on the firewall other then the oil pressure line and the fuse box. I think I'm going to tell him to shave the oil cooler line also. Here are some pics. I think it looks great. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6525.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6526.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6527.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6528.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6529.jpg Palf70Step 08-17-2008, 06:51 PM Long as there is enough windshield left to stop you from tasting the bugs. :D Looking good Brian! mike nutt 08-17-2008, 09:41 PM can't wait to see this one finished , should be awesome!!!!!! 5150 09-03-2008, 06:31 PM Stopped by today and dropped off all of the front end sheetmetal, bolt kits, and grille pieces. Took some pics of the work done. Jason was at work and the tailgate wasn't there so he must have brought to work. I've decided to weld the tailgate up and shave over the handle, but leave the letters on the gate. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6540.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6541.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6542.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6543.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6544.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6549.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6546.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6547.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6548.jpg Hart_Rod 09-03-2008, 07:22 PM Everything is looking great! I know it's your truck, but I don't think I would weld the tailgate in. I'm sure this isn't going to be your daily driver, but you're reducing the functionality quite a bit. Plus, the first time you scratch it lifting coolers or lawn chairs over the back, you're going to kick yourself, :). Just my .02. original_balzer 09-03-2008, 07:53 PM Just an idea I have always wanted to see. It would fit in with your trucks look. Is to shave the holes on the top of the dash and not run a dash pad. The rest looks great shaved like that but it may need some "pins" (von dutch style) to break it up a bit. BACKYARD88 09-03-2008, 08:26 PM Looking good B. I can't wait to see it all one color:D 5150 09-04-2008, 08:49 PM Went by today to pick up some stuff I left by accident and the front end was on :) http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/0904081716.jpg BACKYARD88 09-04-2008, 10:38 PM I Sooooo wish the grille was in in that pic. Looking good Bryan! 5150 09-05-2008, 01:42 AM we actually tried to fit it in, but it's got a small ding in it and it was bowing on the outside so it wouldn't fit in there. 5150 09-12-2008, 04:58 PM tailgate done and it looks sweet!!!!!!! Still got to shave the lenses. Going with some 10.5 LED's in the rollpan. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/0910081742.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/0910081744.jpg 5150 09-24-2008, 01:12 PM Just went by to drop off the lenses for the LED's. He's been held up by them. For some reason Suicide Doors sent me clear lenses and not red ones. Clear would be fine on anything else but not a red blazer  I took a few pics of the rear and one from the side. http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6782.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6783.jpg http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/halenjane/DSCF6784.jpg tdave00 09-24-2008, 02:57 PM Just an idea I have always wanted to see. Check out page 84 of the latest "Truckin' Magazine". Volume 34, No. 12 It says Classic Steel on the cover. kizer 10-21-2008, 06:04 PM I was so hoping you wouldn't fill in the factory tail lights and go with lowers. Just my opinion of course. I was checking out this thread at work and was hoping it made it to paint. I guess it will soon. ;) 5150 10-21-2008, 06:43 PM Paint has been ordered, but still got a few things to do. All of the bag stuff has been put on. Tank and compressor are tucked underneath really nice :) BACKYARD88 10-21-2008, 10:41 PM Pics?:D 5150 10-22-2008, 09:55 AM Today my friend, later today.
