Just read through the build and it's looking awesome....i've been wanting to do a blazer eventually and I will now that i've seen yours. Looks amazing! Can't wait to see the paint and line-x!

my main dilemma is trying to figure out the speakers. Gotta have my music.

What about molded kickpanels and marine speakers in there? They have some decent speakers set up to be in boats and you could have a sweet pod built to house the speaker, aim it up towards you and it would look nice and could still be line-x'd

And if you want some bass, you can fit a slim depth sub under your seat and have the amp under there as well

Having issues with the front end lining up so Jason put on an older set of fenders and hood to see what the problem is. Turned out it's the cowl hood that fighting us. Actually after we put a stock hood on it I like it better with it. Seems like it gives it a shorter nose look and it seems to flow with the rest of the blazer. Tell me your opinions.

I decided on going with the glove box idea that earlgta gave me for the gauges. I guess my only decision is what color of gauges to go with. They have White, Black, Gray, Tan, Aqua, and Gold. You can forget about the Tan, Aqua, or Gold I don't like those colors with the red. Since the old glove box will now be red and not the black bezel I think White or Gray may be the way to go, but what do you guys think. I decided to keep the black dashpad also and not shave the dash.

Not sure what to do about turn signals or just not worry about it. Of course who wants to be the guy riding down the road with his blinker on and not knowing it. The silver truck always had that problem. I could never get the canceling springs or the cam to turn them off.

Jason said the paint was great. I was a little worried about it just because I was buying the paint and that he had never sprayed it before. He said it went on awesome and spread really well. He said it said only one coat, but he hit it with it anyway.

I like the "stock" hood.

They are for the Air Ride switches. They are black marine switches.

Cowl hoods are cool but it (your rig) looks smoother w/o cowl hood .

If I was to use this I would just go back with the 91 burb seat that I've had for a while. My only concern lately is getting the Tahoe seat to mount in the back. Not a problem getting it to mount because they make brackets/strikers, it's just I'm afraid that the Tahoe seat won't sit far enough down in the bed for someone head to sit below the windshield. I already have floor brackets for the 91 burb seat that sit down inside the bed with a little cutting. I'll take some pics here in a second of the Tahoe seat because I'm headed over there now and was able to borrow someonelse's third row bench Tahoe seat.

Just got back. Still didn't figure anything out. I've been talking to a guy that has a Wrecked 2000 Yukon with a 5.3 in it for sale. I had a revelation about going over and cutting out the floor brackets for the third row. It doesn't have the third row seat or strikers, but all the Tahoe's/Yukon's/Burb's have the same floor pan(I think)

Took a few crappy pics with my cell phone. Jason and I were talking and he had the idea to paint a few of the under the hood items like the brake booster, hood latch, battery tray, hood hinges and springs a dark gray to go with the red. He also finished up the firewall.

i have a '97 suburban third row seat in mine. It does not sit too high. I cut some brackets out of a mid '80's suburban and they work great. Rokcrln installed the brackets, I think there is a thread.

Damn fine work he is doing!

Went and got the hood sandblasted today. Dropped it off at the NADC so Jason could work on it while he was at work. He's done a few things like that for me. Saves me money, he said he's getting paid to be there he might as well work on the blazer so it gets FITS2AT's truck in his garage quicker.

I also went out to Pullapart while I was out and grabbed another glove box and dropped it off at Jason's house. I had to buy one because Jason ruined my first one :)

Looks very nice is that a flat red? I have that same steering wheel and love it... And last thing what is the pioneer thing in the dash?

It looks like a Pioneer D3. The best navigation, DVD, CD player ever made if you ask me.

French-Yea, it's Hot Rod Red from Flatz. It's really some awesome paint. My body guy said he's really impressed with it. He's used the Dupont line of flat paints in the past and said it never covered like this stuff did.

It's a Pioneer DVD/Ipod Stereo, no navigation though.

I think what I like most is the gray color he used in the grille. I knew he was using it to accent certain parts under the hood. I love it on the inner part of the grille.

I got some bucket seat tracks at a junkyard the other day. Jason may cut them down a little to lower them. Just depends on how high they sit up. You are going to want to cut those down unless you like bugs in your teeth from sitting above the windshield.

I see what you mean now about the bottom grill insert (the indentions for the turn signals). Did Woody say whether or not the other grill we had for Project Underhaulin had a bottom grill insert worth using?

I just decided to go with the turn signals in the grille. Much easier then trying to find that piece and we were on a little of a timetable.

He finished up painting today. I'll go by and get some pics in a few.

Just got back from bringing the wheels over. It looks awesome. I am so happy with it.
