I tried going even lower but couldnt make it look right. Maybe someone else can fix it...

The LWB trucks are just too long to be slamming to the ground... unless you use it on the weekend as an aircraft carrier (one man's opinion).

It does seem like the lower you go the longer the truck looks.

You know, I think you're right. I started to chop the top, but quickly noticed that the back half of the bed was now out of the shot altogether.
