We I didi this one to try and work on my rendering. I took the background plate this morning and rendered it this afternoon. Trying to go for a realistic look. What do you guys think?

Looks great. The only thing keeping it from really feeling all natural is that the details are all too sharp for the background. Add a slight blur to it and back off on the contrast a bit to flatten it out a bit and no one will be able to tell it is rendered. Just my 20 years of graphics experience talking so take it as you will.

my input is to use that photo as your reflection map so that we see some of it in the reflection of the truck.
Also I would take down the contrast of the truck. It looks like the 2 pieces are shot at different contrast ratios (i.e. the blacks in your render are super black compared greyer blacks in the still)best I could do ( in 5 mins without the layers.)

and with a little defocus

Yeah those are great points. This was straight from the render and I did not comp this in PS. I really wanted to use background for the reflections but had the model lit with the HDRI that I was using and that is what came out in the reflections. I think next time I am goint to just render with the ground plane catching the shadows and comp in ps so I can adjust the model to the background. Thanks for the great tips.
