TO ALL,
There is a car show this coming weekend (see attachment for details) for a friend of mine John Thompson. Some of you may know him, or recognize his truck below.
John is not the kind of guy that will ask for help! He fell and shattered his ankle 8 months ago (a 3-4 foot fall, so be careful out there), being self employed with his own electrical business it has made times extremely tough.
He is unable to work after his last surgery 6 weeks ago, in which the doctors fused his ankle into one piece (no movement!). For several more weeks, probably months he won’t be able to work. He can’t even put weight on it for 3-4 months.
John is an avid hot rod / car guy. Hey has owned several nice rides in the last 13+ years that I’ve known him (showed ISCA, and every one of his trucks made a magazine feature, two were on the cover of Sport Truck magazine). He has sold just about every extra possession he has, (motorcycle, project car, etc.).
He has also listed his house for sale (bad idea by me, but I’m not in his position) just to reduce his monthly overhead, in hopes of riding this out until one day he might be able to work again? If any of you know any one they might be interested in going to this show please forward this to them.
I don’t know how big of a show this will be, but I do know that some of the guys that said they are coming have some nice rides!!!! Don’t think there will be any kind of winners, just a bunch of car enthusiasts getting together to help one of their own.
John is a good Christian and would do they same for any one else if the rolls were reversed!! John has always helped others, including myself without asking for a penny in return. If you have questions please feel free to contact me.
