okay i am putting together a 733 celeron puter for my little brother his 10 gb hd craped out during install of windows i am looking for a 10 gb to put back in there looking to spend about 20 buxs or so where would be a good place on the internet to find a good cheap hd?

Nowhere. It's almost impossible to find small drives cheap.

Good place for old, closeout and clearance crap. Easy to spend a lot of money. They rape you on shipping sometimes, but I still love them.

i bought a 120 gb sata drive for mine was going to install the extra 10 gb thats in ym puter for back up as his drive but heres my question can i run one sata and one ide drive?

Of course you can, if your motherboard supports it. Just make sure your SATA and IDE settings are correct in BIOS (in the case that one drive just won't show up!)

well i tried and well my ide drive burned up so i'm stuck with the 120 gb sata

I'm running a hybrid setup on both my video and audio spooler at home - I use them to to send video throughout the house and share 300GB of music to anyone that plugs in, or play it on the Tivo. Windows is on the IDE drive and the music and/or audio is on SATA drives.
Might have just been an old drive waiting to give up the ghost and release the "magic smoke"? :D

i think i just threw away my 8gigs from the xbox's i will check to see if i have anymore. if i do you can have it just pay for shipping.

drive was about 2 years old i believe it never had any trouble out of it smart said the drive was in perfect heath but one of the chips on the bottom burned out
