I live in Seattle. Is it a bad idea to try and paint in an unheated garage this time of year?

I tried painting in a booth that the heater wasn't working on a cold day and we couldn't get the temp much above 60. Paint does strange things in the cold especially metallic paint. I have to say it was a first for me. Worse than painting when the temp is too hot in my opinion. I would either wait or do what you can with temporary heat to warm up your garage keeping in mind you are messing with combustibles. BigSky71 11-30-2006, 03:39 PM I agree with Fireout, its not a good idea to paint if you can't control the temp in your shop. 2k products don't like anything below 65 I am told. Fireout; hey I used to live in Bville, my dad still does. fireout 12-01-2006, 09:06 AM Well cool! I have been in Bartlesville about 12 years now. Great place to live. |
