View Full Version : Nominations TOTM December 2006
Palf70Step 12-13-2006, 09:16 AM Ok time for a different approach this month. This one will take a bit of effort on our nominees’ part. The Truck of the Month (TOTM) theme for this month is
Most Photogenic!!
What will be different is not just the truck that we like, but which photo input is the most artistic. Those of you that have done this know it takes some thought and effort in creating the perfect shot.
The criteria for this month are:
• The photo must contain a picture with one of our vehicles in it, and the vehicle must be owned by the nominee.
• Any year GM vehicle, Trucks, Blazers, Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons, and Jimmys, and in any state of operation., show, shine, street, garage queen, on-going project or a pile of parts.
• Again, if the nominated vehicle has already been selected TOTM in the last 12 months, you are ineligible. If you were nominated but were not selected as a TOTM winner then you may be nominated and compete in this month's category. In addition, if it is a different truck than that won prior, you may also compete.
To Nominate:
Nominations will be added to this thread. When nominated you must provide a picture, but no more than 2 pictures with the nomination. Please no Adult oriented or risqué photos. If you have problems getting the photos in, e-mail them to me
wpalfrey@cableone.net
Nominees will through December 23. I will start the Poll Thread and voting will run December 24 and will run till the morning of December 31. The official announcement of the winner will be on the afternoon of December 31.
Remember, it is not just the truck this month, but the truck in the photo experience. So guys, brake out the cameras, plan your shots, and get those nominations in.
CLASSIC87' 12-13-2006, 11:31 AM Not for sure if this is the "style" of picture you are looking for...?
Thanks,
Anthony

RamThis 12-17-2006, 02:42 AM Well I guess I'll nominate myself too since no one here knows me yet lol. Here are a few pics of my truck from back in 93, all I have are three pics from when it was together and I just had to use my digital cam to take pics of the old printed pics lol.
Just a funny story too, this was right after my dad bought me this when I was in H.S., my brother (who is 15 years older than me) was married at the time, and his wife's brother worked at the GM plant in Arlington Tx. He and my brother took the truck to a car wash and blasted off the paint in odd splotches, and blasted off longhorns across the hood, and entered the truck into an ugly truck contest, and won second place!! Yeah, this was gonna be my H.S. truck......

Kevin45 12-17-2006, 07:29 AM Gonna be tough as usual for voting, but I gotta say that this is one of the "sweetest" looking Blazers I have ever seen. White, crisp, and simple. :c2: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/attachment.php?attachmentid=230377&stc=1&d=1166073034

68gmcdually 12-18-2006, 09:33 PM Hopefully an El camino counts as a truck!!!
Here is the '82 El camino SS sitting in front of the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, once at low tide and the next day at high tide in a different spot.
We took these last year while on our honeymoon. Got lots of great pictures but had to narrow it down to these two. 10 minutes after taking the low tide picture we almost hit two moose, came around a bend and bam there they where.
Thanks,
Jim
**EDIT: Sorry that the pics turned out so small**
68gmcdually 12-18-2006, 09:44 PM Some pics of the '68, I know what you are all thinking, not another picture of it towing that damn Ford, well I happen to like the pic and both of the trucks. If its any consolation we are looking at replacing the open deck trailer with an enclosed so you won't see the Ford until it is unloaded. The enclosed is even painted close to tha same colour as my truck, just need to finance the transaction. The second one was on our fall colour tour outing with the family last year, BK (before kid).
panhandler62 12-20-2006, 08:13 PM Welll.... what the heck.. won't be eligible again until it's painted... lol

GREAT view, great background.
The trees and hills in the background direct your eyes to the truck...
Not to mention it's a sharp truck too!
Palf70Step 12-21-2006, 03:30 PM No more nominations being excepted. We've have much more than I can make a poll for. So hang on a Day and we'll get the voting going.
Thanks all.
