View Full Version : It's never to early to start a party part 3 !!!!!
Ron 586 12-13-2006, 09:45 AM Yep, that's right. We're gonna do it again. July 21, 2007 you are invited to Rons 2ed annual, Lip Smackin Snackin and Tire Roast. This event is open to all members, family, and guests of CGITC, MOT, StreetCruizin.com, and 67-72chevytrucks.com. We are going to follow the lead of Craig/Luv and have the meal catered. Pulled pork BBQ, Tatar salad, baked beans, Cole slaw and all the trimmings. We will have non alcoholic drinks on ice, coolers of your favorite beverage are welcome. Guests may bring a desert if you wish. This an all day event just show up when you can get here, and leave when you want. We will be adding to this post as needed but please make plans to attend as we want it to be bigger and better than last year. We had a good turnout last year and a great day but we want to make sure that some that couldn't make it last year get in on the fun and fellowship that was shared here. So Ya'll Come!!!
I had planned to have a neat little map for directions but I can't make it happen. So I'll do the best I can. Coming from the north get on 641 south coming out of Paris, Tennessee and going toward Camden, Tn. You will go 10-12 miles and leave Henry county and enter Benton county when you cross the Big Sandy river. About a mile after that you will see a sign for the Rockman Store at a little country store on your right. Turn LEFT on lower Big Sandy road at the store and follow it 3-4 miles you will come around a slight curve to the right and drop off a small hill and cross a narrow bridge leading to a long straight away. When you get to the top of the next hill turn RIGHT on Tom White Rd. 1/2 mile up the road on your left is 586 Tom White Rd, There is a 911 sign at the end of the driveway as well as a street sign with OMS WAY HOME on it.
If you are coming from the south get on 641 north going toward Paris Tn. When you come through Camden Tn. come on about 6-7 miles and watch for a sign Rockman Store on your left. Turn RIGHT on Lower Big Sandy Rd. and follow directions above to my home. If this is not clear or you get lost call me.

Pickles 12-13-2006, 10:05 AM sounds great Ron, yell if i can help you with anything
LUV2XCLR8 12-13-2006, 05:58 PM If we get enough peeps we will out number the town :hm:
thats the babys bday :D good choice! ;)
Ron 586 12-13-2006, 07:25 PM That's great. What kind of cake does she want? We can make it happen.
:haha: I have never told you about Cici and Bdays. Everyday, I kid you not.. since last July she wakes up n asks me "birday" She asks several times through the day as well. I can't get her at this age to understand its once a year, so every few weeks I let her pick out a cake mix when we are shopping and make her a "birthday cake" ( ie cake) ... She knows it isn't her birthday, but shes just happy as anything to have the cake.. shes a sweet tooth for sure.
LUV2XCLR8 12-15-2006, 04:11 PM :haha:
see ten 12-15-2006, 08:37 PM The 21st is my birthday as well!:metal:
Ron 586 12-15-2006, 09:11 PM Well what kind of cake do you want? Hope you folks get to make it this year.
LUV2XCLR8 12-16-2006, 07:00 AM The 21st is my birthday as well!:metal:
Oh hell, I still have the Images from the truck nats burned into my head,
I came out of my hotel room going out to eat and passed Asa carrying a
NEW blender, he had forgot his and went to Wallyworld to get one so he
could make Margaritas in his hotel room, sad part is I thought he was 21.
:hmm:
see ten 12-16-2006, 08:26 AM Craig, now that I'm older and lazier, I have realized that if you buy the bucket of Margarita mix where all you have to do is stir in the tequila and throw it in the freezer for a few hours you don't have to clean the blender! It's not quite as good as making it yourself without a mix but it's a heck of a lot easier! I'll be turning 36 this year. I did have my ID checked when I bought a couple beers yesterday!:metal:
LUV2XCLR8 12-16-2006, 05:56 PM Dnag, you are ALOT older than I thought you were :D
Ron 586 12-25-2006, 11:03 PM Just to let you know, after long hard thought and consideration I have reached a decision. With all due respect to the board meet in Mo. 2 weeks earlier July 7-9 2007 we are going on as planned with our cookout on July 21 2007 here in Big Sandy Tn. 38221. I want it understood that if you feel you can only do one and you want to do the board wide meet in Mo. by all means go for it. I will be having mine again next year, same weekend and you'll be welcome. If you can't do the Mo. one or you can do both we'll be here. So stay tuned for further announcements.
LUV2XCLR8 01-01-2007, 06:54 AM I'm in like Flynn :hm:
Ron 586 01-01-2007, 09:30 PM Glad to hear that you are coming. OK folks if you don't want Luv and me to over eat try to make it. Thanks.

LUV2XCLR8 01-02-2007, 03:26 PM OK folks if you don't want Luv and me to over eat try to make it. Thanks.
So what exactly are you driving at w/ that remark :hm:
Ron 586 01-02-2007, 09:47 PM I hope I'm not driving at you with my Nova this year.
see ten 01-03-2007, 04:56 PM I hope I'm not driving at you with my Nova this year. Craig moves pretty quick for a big guy doesn't he!
LUV2XCLR8 01-03-2007, 05:10 PM Craig moves pretty quick for a big guy doesn't he!
:haha: I used to be smaller than you, many moons ago
Ron 586 01-03-2007, 06:37 PM I fell Jan 5, 06 and was at 256 lbs. I went to doctors office to have stitches out yesterday morning and weighed 296 lbs. This year of inactivity has added 40 lbs to an already overweight body. Maybe Luv should drive and let me run.
LUV2XCLR8 01-07-2007, 09:29 AM Maybe Luv should drive and let me run.
:burnout: :gi: :burnout:
woodridge 01-08-2007, 08:04 PM Ron, no promises but it's on my calender.Let me check though, I may be in Murphreesburo that week, and I'll just stay over!
Ron 586 01-08-2007, 08:15 PM Sounds good Woodridge. I am hoping that we have CGITC tracked out and can run it under the banner again this year. I know you are all over this so I'll wait for word from you.
LUV2XCLR8 01-13-2007, 03:50 PM Ron are you having a yard sale while we are there? Just a thought ;)
Ron 586 01-13-2007, 05:55 PM That's something to think about. As soon as the AC gets back going to start the destruction.
Igotachevyor2 01-20-2007, 10:26 PM ron im hoping to be able to make it this year if the kids schedule allows
Ron 586 01-20-2007, 10:35 PM I sure hope you get to be here. My little niece still has to see your chibby and mo ta cyl kle she pronounces each part like it is a word of its own. She knows that it belongs to Brandon. It would make her day and mine too for you guys to make it.
LUV2XCLR8 01-22-2007, 08:33 PM Is it time for this yet ? ? ?
:gi:
Ron 586 01-22-2007, 08:57 PM It's past time for a get together but mine will have to wait until July 21. We really need to have one in late Jan early Feb to kind of fill in the blank. We just need somebody to step up and host it. Catch ya later.
Igotachevyor2 01-23-2007, 09:34 PM maybe we could have a meet up at a local car show to tide every one over till the eating begins i just posted a small list of car shows
LUV2XCLR8 01-23-2007, 09:41 PM I have over 10 on my "Going To" calender so far ;)
71SWBChevy 01-23-2007, 11:02 PM I have added the date to my calender hopefully I can pull some strings and get off that weekend!
Ron 586 01-24-2007, 12:11 AM I sure hope you can make it this year Drew. Will try to come up with a little excitement for my honored guests. (that don't include running for your life)
LUV2XCLR8 01-24-2007, 04:13 PM :haha:
Ron 586 02-20-2007, 08:45 AM Well with Luv already got his cookout on the books looks like we have the year covered for our part here in Tennessee. Throw in a few trips to neighboring state events and it will be a good year. With Bryan and Craig taking the easy way out and doing the catered deal I may just throw in with them and do the same. Will post on that soon. That would leave more time for tire frying and that's a lot more fun. Stay tuned.
LUV2XCLR8 02-20-2007, 02:53 PM Sounds good Ron, I'm ready ;)
Ron 586 03-15-2007, 11:11 AM Well the party season is upon us and time to make ready for all the shows and events and board meet cookouts. I have made a small change in my announcement post in that I'm going with catering the event instead of cooking. Watch for future changes. Thanks. Ron
LUV2XCLR8 03-15-2007, 03:48 PM Can't wait for it to happen ;)
method2mymadnes 03-17-2007, 03:54 PM I can't make yellow69's due to some medical stuff, but I do plan on making Ron's.
Ron 586 03-17-2007, 05:59 PM We'll be real happy to see you. We hope to have a good turnout and a lot of fun out here in nowhere land. Welcome aboard.
LUV2XCLR8 03-20-2007, 04:24 PM We hope to have a lot of fun out here in nowhere land.
That's a understatement
I'm going to try to be there. Got it marked down. Also I'll be standing in the yard, way back in the yard, for the Nova run this year :)
Ron 586 03-29-2007, 12:05 PM The safest place to be is in the driver seat. But this year nothing but straight black lines.
71SWBChevy 03-29-2007, 02:33 PM I'm going to try to be there. Got it marked down. Also I'll be standing in the yard, way back in the yard, for the Nova run this year :)
Maybe you should just stand straight in front of him, odds of him hitting you there are slim to none
Just kidding ya Ron!
Ron 586 03-29-2007, 05:00 PM Maybe you should just stand straight in front of him, odds of him hitting you there are slim to none
Just kidding ya Ron!
You're probably right.
LUV2XCLR8 03-29-2007, 05:32 PM :haha: LMFAO :haha:
71SWBChevy 04-01-2007, 12:02 AM Well we started our first working weekend at the park today and I talked to my boss, right now it looks like I will get one Sat. and one Sun. off a month so I am pretty sure I can get off for your Cookout Ron. If not I will try and get a night shift that saturday so I can atleast come down there for a little bit. Anyway just thought I would give you guys an update
LUV2XCLR8 04-01-2007, 12:02 AM :c2:
Ron 586 04-01-2007, 03:01 PM You're always welcome here cookout or not. But we are happy to hear that you will probably be here for the cookout. Everybody is raising the bar on attendance so we want to keep up. See ya July 21 2007.
LUV2XCLR8 04-01-2007, 03:40 PM Everybody is raising the bar on attendance so we want to keep up. See ya July 21 2007.
:agree:
I talked to my boss, right now it looks like I will get one Sat. and one Sun. off a month
Well, ask for May 5th and 6th off, and get your butt to MV. I told you that you could ride with me.
71SWBChevy 04-02-2007, 11:22 AM my boss would let off for maggie valley the only problem would be that I have 3 finals that monday so i am going to stay here and study, sorry Bryan, maybe next year.
see ten 04-02-2007, 12:41 PM Drew, my wife always had finals the week after the Nats and she always came anyway. She would bring some books and notes so she could study........but she never did.
LUV2XCLR8 04-02-2007, 02:47 PM Drew, my wife always had finals the week after the Nats and she always came anyway.
:agree:
71SWBChevy 04-02-2007, 04:14 PM Drew, my wife always had finals the week after the Nats and she always came anyway. She would bring some books and notes so she could study........but she never did.
That would be my problem exactly, I would bring all the books then never study  Thats what would get me into trouble, I need good grades on my finals to make up for all the bad grades during the semester so I normally end up working my butt off that weekend so that I can pull off a few B's:rolleyes:
Drew-Don't cop out on us. Asa's wife graduated so it worked for her. Just study in the truck on the way over. Bring your notes to Fat Buddies and we promise not to get BBQ sauce on them.
LUV2XCLR8 04-03-2007, 03:15 PM :haha: :agree: :haha:
71SWBChevy 04-03-2007, 11:27 PM I think we should quit hijacking Ron's thread and get back to the topic at hand
I am not going to make it this year, I am planning on being at Ron's cookout however as long as I can get the weekend off.
Maybe I can make the NATS next year.
Ron 586 04-04-2007, 09:08 AM By all means go ahead and hijack away. What's a little hijack amongst friends. I just want you to all make it to my house July 21 2007
Ron doesn't care, and stop trying to switch topics. That's what you said last year.
LUV2XCLR8 04-04-2007, 02:59 PM  :agree:
Notice how Drew's is quiet. I'm going to rag you about this until about 7:00 on Friday May 4th. I figure by then you won't be able to get to my house in time for me to meet everybody in Lebanon. :)
71SWBChevy 04-05-2007, 10:08 AM Sorry I was quite because I was out watching a movie last night with some friends and didn't get in until 3:30 this morning, didn't feel like getting on here then.
I don't care if you rag me about it, doesn't matter to me, still won't be able to make it. But look on the bright side maybe you will make me feel guilty enough that I will try and make it next year, who knows:lol:
still won't be able to make it
I'm pretty persistent so I'm going to keep trying and I believe I'll win over. :) What else can you ask for a ride over, and your young so I bet it wouldn't cost you about $100 bucks for all 3 days. Also you can study while we're there and when you get back sell those books for the $100 back. :)
LUV2XCLR8 04-05-2007, 03:40 PM :haha: :gi:
71SWBChevy 04-05-2007, 05:26 PM You know if I hadn't met Craig in person I would swear that he lacked any ability to communicate with anything other than smilies
Ok Bryan I will make a deal with you, if SOMEHOW I manage to pull my grade in my statistics class up to a B before finals then I will come to maggie valley. My grade in there is currently a 76.8 with 79.5 being a B and I have to get a B to have a shot at the scholarships I need next semester so that I will be able to put my summer savings into the truck. So if I pull off a B by the week before finals, I will come down to maggie valley with you guys and party away, otherwise I am going to have to skip this one and be a loser staying in Bowling Green and studying.
LUV2XCLR8 04-05-2007, 05:45 PM You know if I hadn't met Craig in person I would swear that he lacked any ability to communicate with anything other than smilies
:me2:
Okay, that's a deal. All I ask for is the teachers address. If you don't want to give that to me then stop sleeping altogether and just study.
LUV2XCLR8 04-05-2007, 07:34 PM :gi:
71SWBChevy 04-05-2007, 08:27 PM Actually Bryan on the first day of class she gave us her office address, home address, home phone, cell phone, and office phone, so really I think she is just asking for it. Besides that she is a complete BITCH! So she deserves anything that she gets.
71SWBChevy 04-05-2007, 08:28 PM :me2:
:uhm: :mmmk: :fry: :hc: :splat: :box: :bomb:
I'm going to Bowling Green tonight for dinner. I'll pay her a visit and have a talk with her.
