We'll have sparklers for the little kids, & roman candles & bottle rockets for the big kids ( Adults ;) ) GMCPaul 68gmcdually 05-23-2007, 10:43 PM I am about ready to give up on the idea of coming, two weeks ago I launched the tranny/clutch in the '68. This week we decided to get our water tested and it came back with high levels of bacteria, so needless to say the tranny money went towards the new ultraviolet light and filter setup. I am working on my dad's buddy to lend me his little "C" class motorhome and still head down, just won't be as styling as the '68 with the trailer, but as long as I can make it that is all that matters. smbrouss70 05-23-2007, 10:53 PM Don't feel bad, the wife wants to come now, so that means with a camper, and my little 70 doesn't do too good with that behind it. So now I'm coming in the 04. But we'll take you any way you can James. LUV2XCLR8 05-23-2007, 11:00 PM Don't feel bad, the wife wants to come now. Oh crap, mine has flirted with the idea of coming, she has asked me 5 times if your wife is coming and I keep forgetting to ask you, now I can tell her ;) Mudder 05-23-2007, 11:03 PM I think the more that comes the better...................And it doesn't matter one fricken bit what you drive. LUV2XCLR8 05-23-2007, 11:06 PM :agree: BACKYARD88 05-24-2007, 12:04 AM I'll have my wife in tow as well. I wouldn't consider going without her though;) smbrouss70 05-24-2007, 12:16 AM I wanted to drive the truck, that's the only reason why I was going to leave her behind. There is NO way she would ride that far in my truck. stepside454 05-24-2007, 03:47 PM Had an unfortunate incident last weekend that may prevent me from making the event. Our club did a car show at the Daniel Boone home in Defiance MO last Saturday. On the way there I was hit in the rear by another club member whos truck suffered a ruptured brake line. I got shoved into the truck in front of me. Nobody injured thankfully. Right now Im waiting for the insurance adjuster to show up. So, lots to do to get it put back together, I may have to back out of the event. The guy who hit me was also going to come down, hes talkin about not being able to make it either. LUV2XCLR8 05-24-2007, 03:54 PM I wanted to drive the truck, that's the only reason why I was going to leave her behind. There is NO way she would ride that far in my truck. :haha: Same here :haha: larry may 05-24-2007, 03:55 PM Not good: Bring your vette, or another ride. Got a few days to get the pick up repaired . more the 35 days.Sorry to hear the bad luck for the both of ya LUV2XCLR8 05-24-2007, 03:55 PM Had an unfortunate incident last weekend that may prevent me from making the event. :jdp: Dude that sucks :jdp: Mudder 05-24-2007, 04:34 PM We would still like to have you all come even tho you aren't driving your trucks. LUV2XCLR8 05-24-2007, 06:45 PM We would still like to have you all come even tho you aren't driving your trucks. Agreed, this can't be said enough. This will most likely be talked about more than Indy (1st Board Meet) No offense to any who went but it looks like we might have a substantially larger crowd. I am coming no matter how I have to get there. I for one think it will be the experiance of a lifetime for all  5150 05-24-2007, 07:43 PM You can still come, I'm not driving mine and I'll be there with bells on....and nothing else. woodridge 05-24-2007, 08:29 PM OK, now let me see if I can find that video of the hog slaughter. 68gmcdually 05-24-2007, 09:39 PM Not being able to bring the '68 will not stop me from attending, the lack of money might though, but I am working 7 days a week right now trying to create a nice little nest egg with the overtime pay to be able to attend and pay cash for the gas. Ron 586 05-24-2007, 10:49 PM Keep on fighting James and don't give up. Sorry life is dealing you such a hand. I'll be waiting to shake your hand when you get to Mo. BOSS 05-24-2007, 10:58 PM I wish you all the best of luck getting here if you can :) BACKYARD88 05-25-2007, 08:46 AM Getting Closer:)Countdown to the meet (http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/customcounter.html?month=7&day=7&year=2007&hour=8&min=0&sec=0&p0=605) tallhoedude 05-25-2007, 01:04 PM Anybody going thru indiana and wants to convoy along.Im at zip 46070 and prob heading out early fri am..like 4-5am...hope to be driving the BIG tahoe but if gas goes up much more well be driving the wifes tahoe.Cant wait to meet you all there! 68gmcdually 05-25-2007, 01:10 PM Thanks for the encouragement. My wife still really wants to come, which surprises me. So I think that I should take this opportunity and run with it. timcos 05-26-2007, 08:03 PM OK...this is way too strange and eerily coincidental. I live in Salt Lake City. Was not planning to come to the meet...but badly wanted to. Of course as we all know...the meet is in Norwood, MO. I had no clue where that is...so I Googled it. My wife just received a promotion at her company. She is going to relocate to Northwest Arkansas. She just happens to be relocating at the end of June...no doubt in my mind I can push this date to early July...putting me in NW Arkansas at the beginning of July. There is no doubt I can take all her goodies to AR in early July and be finished before the weekend. Norwood MO is a mere 110 miles (as the crow flies) from Bentonville AR. Looks like I might be coming...sans truck...but coming nonetheless. But is it 6th, 7th and 8th...or 7th, 8th and 9th? 6,7 and 8 seems to make more sense to me. Yee haw. LUV2XCLR8 05-26-2007, 08:24 PM Timcos, It's Friday - Sunday, whatever those dates are  timcos 05-26-2007, 08:43 PM Yeah..look at this...first and second post titles...that is what confused me. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=220089 Tim Tycoon4u 05-27-2007, 05:15 PM Boss, will we have access to water to fill our tanks in the campers? BOSS 05-27-2007, 09:53 PM Yes sir i have about 4 outside faucets here to use :) LUV2XCLR8 05-27-2007, 10:06 PM  He showers outside also :hm: Tycoon4u 05-28-2007, 08:36 AM Test fired my buddys generator that we we're going to use at the meet yesterday. It runs 50 min. on a gal of gas w/ a 7 gal. tank. Gotta figure something else out, we might not be bringing this 7k generator. HuggerCST 05-28-2007, 01:59 PM I started a post in General discussion about working on BOSS's truck. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=242925 Tycoon4u 05-28-2007, 03:15 PM Boss I ran your address on my map program and it can't seem to find a box # address.
