when I swaped the 305 to a 350(worked) in my '89,I put headers on with dauls.always had problems with the 02 sensor because they had to splice it to fit with the headers.the motor guy put in a hypertech off road racing chip in it to handle the mods.the truck ran like s***! was never "hooked up".

anyway I now have a '91 and its 10 years later. It has a 350 5spd,I would like to know if I can put headers and dual exhast on this without any problems since its stock.have they come out with diffent 02 sensors since then that work?

Im a little afraid to put them on because of the trouble i had before, but I think that was a combination of bad engine mods.what do you guys run on yours?thanks guys.

As long as you connect the O2 sensor up like it was before, there should be no problem. It depends on what you choose for headers and if they are equiped for the sensor. I put Edelbrock shorties on my 91 with the tap in the same approximate place as the original and there has been no problems. The long tube headers are better for power buiding, but you need to consider the right way to lengthen the wire or will it be where you need it on the install. Most header companies of today has a plan when they build their products and companies like Speartech, makes extension wires for just such a change-out of components.

My 91 5.7/700R4 has a few mods posi rear end, headers, cat back duals, MSD 6al spark/coil/wires, T/body spacer, electric fans (removed factory fan and shroud), hypertech chip, 180 degree T-stat, and K&N filter. It runs quite decent for daily driver.

Quick question...What is a good brand of headers for my son's '94, 350, 5spd, extended cab 4X4 and where can I find them?
