Hi Guys. Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas. Santa brought my 15 year old son a nice 66 c10 lwb stepside to rebuild with his dad. I will post arrival pictures soon and keep you updated as much as possible. Had lost title issues at first but that has been resolved. This truck is almost completely disassembled, somebody's unfinished project, but is rust free. It has a small amount of bondo on both doors about dead center from past dents, etc. It sat primed in a storage lot for 11 years and the bondo has cracked. My 1st of many questions is what is the best body filler to use these days? About 25 years ago I used a product called Alumi-lead (67 GTO). Applied like bondo but cures MUCH harder. Is this product still around or is there something better? THANKS, Jeff.

Good to hear you got both the truck and the title.

On the body filler, they have improved a lot in the last 20 years. Evercoat and Rage both make good fillers, when properly used. I've been using a short fiber glass filler for the deep areas, and Evercoat Metal Glaze for finishing.

For a lot of good advice and instructions go to http://www.autobodystore.com/basics.htm and spend some time reading the articles by Martinsr. He's an expert that really knows how to educate.

I use Rage Gold filler and Everglass reinforced filler for edges and stress points. Both are great products. Sounds like a good project.
