52 3/4 ton. Upgraded to a 235 and installed 4.10 gears. Otherwise, she's all original. Even the rust.

Both my 57 and '59 have different rears, but both still sport stock frontend.

On the '57 I have coil over shocks on front with the BBC, on the 59 I used gas shocks. Other than that, pretty original.

When I pull the BBC out for a SBC in the '57, I may decide to go IFS, probably M2 setup.

I plan on using the stock I-beam on my '57. I want it to be a fairly stock truck, besides the 350 and T-5.

Been there, done that. At the drag strip in my home town there was two turn outs at the end of the track. One for the "regular" cars and then the one at the very end for the "real" drag cars going 150 and higher. This is no "rule" or anything understand, it was just the layout and pretty easy to see that is what was in mind.

My truck, at 95 going thru the traps couldn't take that first turn out to save it's life. I would have ended up on the roof!

My 65 Buick Gran Sport ran almost a second faster and right around 100 MPH and I could take that first turn out with ease.

Nope, I am putting Mustang II. I have thought lately about going the dropped axle routine but just reading this thread has reminded me, I'll leave it for the restos.
