I have searched on here but cant seem to find exactly what Im looking for.

The plug hooking up to the horn has two wires. One goes back to the fuse box I believe and the other goes twards the passanger side and there is a plug at the end that isnt pluged into anything. Also a previous owner has also spliced this wire and is going no where. I just capped the end because I believe he had it rigged up to something no longer there. Is this wire supposed to go anywhere or the plug supposed to be plugged in to something?

Also the horn does not work there is a wire that has an inline fuseable link in it that if I touch it to power the horn goes off. But the horn itself doesnt work. The fuse has three wires in it. Any suggestions or should I just take it to an electricion. I hate Wiring.

Ill try to get one in the morn. This wiring is driving me nuts the old owner just went crazy on this stuff. I just dont have much time to work on it between being out to sea and spending time with the wife. Its up for inspection in feb and I deploy in april to africa. So the majority of this inspection will be spent in storage lol!
thanks chad

The spare wire that wasn't plugged into anything that you capped, that was probably the hot lead coming from Horn #1 to Horn #2. Both of my Pickups (76 and 84) had Hi and Lo note horns, one on each side of the grill. I just can't remember exactly how the wiring was done up. But it was factory.

And it sounds like your horn actually works, but that your having issues between your horn button and that fused link.
