It's an option under the Search button now.

You can also click qlinks and use todays posts. It is the same idea as new posts, but lists them for a 24 hour period.

Under the default grey theme, mine disapeared too. I went to the bottom of the page, switched to blue, and everything is back to normal.

On default grey its half hidden ( or in a diff spot.) If you click qlinks, you will see todays posts. If you click search, new posts is listed underneath the search box.

It was the grey theme that did it. Thanks guys
