Just wanted to say Hi as I'm new on this forum
I'm from Auckland, New Zealand and have a one owner (before me) 1984 Scottsdale Pick Up short bed that was imported here in April 2006. My husband and I also have a 55 Chevy four door sedan (completely restored - and ALOT hotter than before).
I'm a virgin forum user so if I goof up you will understand!!

If you already have pictures on your computer...

When you go to reply or start a thread you will notice a box towards the bottom of the screen called Additional Options. In this box you will find Attach Files, the click Manage Attachments. Find the file(pic) click upload, then click submit reply.

If this doesnt work the pics maybe too big.. if that is the case we can help you through that as well....

If the pics are online.. right click your cursor over the image, go to properties, copy the URL. Go to your reply and click the little white box that has a moutain and sun on it (it will say insert image as you run your cursor over it), enter the URL into the blank and click ok, you can enter more than one pic per reply...

Good luck!

Trying to upload ONE photo but it seems to be taking along time...not sure if anything is happening! I have all my photos stored on Picasa. Does that help?

Ron 586

You will have to get your pictures down sized to 640X480 Max size to put them on the board. Picasa should have a way to resize when you upload them. You will have to go into your settings and look around but I'm sure it's there.

It will turn out like this if you can find the settings. That's a picture of my racecar that I play with. It is sized at 640X480 pixels.

Yeah, we are really happy with it. We have recently replace the diesel with a 400ci and 400 trans (as the diesel 'shat' itself) and I've just had it converted to dedicated LPG to make it a bit easier on the pocket!
The paint's a bit shot as the clearcoat is peeling off but I kinda like it that way actually. I am just saving up for a lowering kit and have just purchased a billet grill for it so just doing a bit of a tidy up. It's my daily driver and I just love driving it every day!!
I'll try to send through a piccie of our 55 for you guys too! Wish me luck!!

Thanks Farmtruck71!
We've owned ours for the same amount of time! She has had a body off resto which took us 10 years! Just been back on the road for two years and we just love cruising in her! My 84 pick up is my everyday driver and he gets to cruise when it's raining!!
We are off to a 'Super Chevy Sunday' this weekend (three hours drive from us) and can't wait to check out all the other cars/trucks!

Welcome from OKC, OK.

Am I seeing you pic correct? Is the 55 a right hand drive? I would have to say that is the first one of those I have seen ('55 that is, not a rhd)

chevgirl
03-12-2007, 04:19 PM
Good spotting! Yes, it is a factory right hand drive. It was bought into NZ new (I think they came in as CKD's from Canada). Our friends have a four door pillarless 57 chevy that is also right hand drive. (That one used to be a consulate car in Pakistan!!) I've got to say that there aren't too many right hand drives around so ours is just getting more rare I guess! Also...I too am part of your club (we never sell our GOOD cars!)
