Whats the best thing to remove overspray? Its on the chrome trim and the wheatherstripping, cant really afford to just replace it right now.I also have some stickers on the back glass, probably 20 years old,any ideas on how to get those off?I tried a razor blade on the stickers but no luck.

I'm not sure on this, but will enamel reducer work?

paint thinner shouldnt hurt your chrome but it might hurt your weatherstripping. i occasionaly have to get some overspray off like that but im usually working on newer cars with newer rubber. itll put some black on your rag but it doestnt hut anything. rubbing compound will also work on your chrome you just have to polish afterwards. for your stickers , get a thinner rag and hold it on the sticker and then use a razor . you can finish off with steel wool.

If your rubber is in good shape, laquer thinner will work. Just be real carefull not to get the thinner on any adjacent painted surfaces.
0000 steel wool works real well on chrome and glass for removing overspray. Do a small test section on stainless to make sure it doesn't scratch first.

O.K. Thanks you guys.I'm going to give it a shot on the next warm day.For the stickers,I'm thinking of using a heat gun,we'll see if that works.

The heat gun is the way BUT, watch yourself as they get HOT even on low so a little heat goes a long way with plactic and you don't want to bust the glass with excessive heat. Then the NEW razor blade wil do the trick. Finish the clean up with some Acetone.
Use some tape to mask off your stripping so's not to "wipe" your paint.

All you need is a bucket of car wash soap and water and a clay bar. That will remove paint overspray from your paint, trim and glass without any chemicals or scratching
Regarding the decals, I use a straight razor and some glass cleaner to remove decals from windows.
A heat gun/hair dryer and some elbow grease will do the trick as well. Use a 3M type adhesive remover to clean up the left over glue residue.
