Here's a few pics of how my engine compartment has changed in the last 2 months. Old - stock 350 with a SM465. New - 6.0L vortec with a 4L80E. It is so much nicer to drive now. Hopefully within the next month or so I'll get the front end swapped over so I can have 4 wheel drive again. Still needs a little cosmetic work under the hood but that will come in time. It's my daily driver so I can't do too much at once.

And here's a few of the interior. There is no longer an original wire or fuse or fuse holder left anywhere on the truck. I've only had the truck about 3 months so it's progressing pretty good. Mechanically it's almost ( just needs the front axle swap ) done. By spring I hope to have the body done so I can get it painted, and then I'll finish the interior.

Welcome from PCola, FL. Nice conversioin. Who's harness did you use? What about the fuel tank and pump? I'm getting ready to do a 5.3/4L60E in my 69 Suburban. Check link below.

You're making good progress for it being a daily driver.

It's the stock GM harness with the un-needed plugs, like smog equip, removed. Does have a OBDII port added in so I can monitor everything. It was modified by Jeff at PCMAmerica.com. I got my computer from him also, awesome prices! As far as fuel, I just installed an in-tank pump and return line into the stock tank. I'm hopeing to build a custom tank soon cause I hate going to the gas station. Probably do something around 60-80 gallons.
Here is a thread by Faster57. He installed a newer larger tank in his burb. Maybe it can give you some ideas.....

Where did you get gauges? Nice touch!

The gauges are TPI Tech. Thanks for the link on the tank! Does anyone know of a factory tank that's even bigger? I'd love to only have to go to the gas station about once a month if possable.

40 gallon is the largest single tank stock system.
there was a place making a 43 gallon 1st gen bolt in tank but it's pricey.
with a lifted 4x4 you can slide the tank forward above the axel by doing this you could possibly squeeze in 2 of the 31's (or 25's for heigth) '73 and up blazer tanks.
