My 66 C10 when i bought it didn't have a headlight wiring harness in it, so i went looking for one at LMC truck, but i decided to upgrade to halogen lamps and buy the heavy duty harness. My problem is this. The original harness bulk connector is a two prong female connector loking like -| that. The harness that i bought has a male connector that looks like |_| that, 3 prong. Has anyone seen this or tried it before, or know what the third prong is for? Thanks....

I'd ask LMC, but I suspect the third prong will be for a fog light.

Well, i was kindastudying it, comparing with the originall harness. I assume that the original harness' two wires are for high and low beam +, and the ground just comes from the lamps ground. I think the extra wire on this harness is for grounding the relays that control the high and low now. Could i just cut off the connector, take the leads and solder to the correct originals, and then be sure to ground the other wire?

I used the same (probably) harness for my 68, it was plug and play however I will wire up my next one myself using the info from FAQ. I noticed the relays that come with this harness are different than a Bosch 30 5 lug relay plus Im not a supporter of communist china and thier junk anymore than I am forced to ! Before I cut any thing I would hook up everything with jumper leads to verify that it in fact will work with your mods if not Id return it and wire up according to info here.

ironically enough, i broke one of the brand new headlights i bought while takin it outta the box, dropped it right onto the concrete, so now im gonna need another new one a those. I decided to give up before i broke anything else, so i didn't wire anything, and nothing blew up.......

The 2 prong would be for the turn/park light & the 3 prong for headlights with ground wire.
