My buddy and i just swapped engines, 4.3 vortec in my 95 Jimmy and we have power to the starter but no power to the cab - Nothing!
It all worked when we pulled the engine. all ground straps and sensors are hooked up. we can jump the starter and get it to spin, but no power for the distributor,fuel pump, no interior lights.
What should we look for other than the obvious.
fusible links look O.K.
Is there a fuse under the hood/fenders somewhere that we cant see?

I'll keep y'all posted . tonite we have 2 other guys coming over to help.
looking at the wiring schematic, there are like a dozen fusible links in the harness. we'll be pulling that out of the radiator support where they chose to hide everything. Man, that's goofy????

having a bad back and a 3" plate and screws in my neck just doesnt help with this kind of stuff.
But , my buddy has been a great help to me and i have returned the favor by watching his son for him when he had to work, and showing him how to do drywall and plumbing stuff in his house.

found it! it was a fusible link in the main harness, clipped it out , installed new one. should have my new ride tomorrow!
