I bought a new 2007 in Stealth Grey and it came with black flares(YUCK) Why do some colors(white ,silver, grey etc) come with matching ones and the others come with the black ones. I checked the parts book and you cant even get them in my color, just the ones that come from the factory.:confused: I can see if its a low option truck but full load are the same. Anyone want to trade:)

I was always wondering.. Do you think over time these flares could trap junk between the flare and paint causing rust?

I have these same flares on my 06. They seem to fit really tight with the body line, so maybe they dont let junk pass through?

They are 2way taped also but nothing is forever

Sure I'll trade, trucks that is! I love that colour, in fact I have thought about painting my 69 GMC that colour.

I'm sure that my 04 in Silver Birch has matching fender flares. To make it fair, I will even drive to Leduc, and buy you a beer!

When the trucks came out in '99 the Sierra's came with the painted flares only and the Silverados had the black plastic flares. I think when the new front end came out in '03 they started offering painted flares on the silverados. And yes, they DO come in that color. You may have to go through a dealer? I KNOW someone who owns a truck that color with that color flares and I even looked at an '07 classic Z71 in that color with the flares painted to match.

Well i checked the dealer and no way, not offerd in that color. Only way to get them is buy a set and paint to match. Today i found a set of new takeoffs in silver birch and now im off to find a painter. I think Ill get the handles painted too while im at it, set of escalades handles look good.
