I ordered a FasTrac last July,was told 5 weeks.In September was told another month.After another month,I canceled the order.They said they`d credit my card.I couldn`t remember which one,but non have been credited.I went through all my receipts and realized I paid with a money order.I just called there toll-free number and it`s been temporarily disconnected.I`m about to try the other number with my fingers crossed.I`m trying to send an e-mail,but it`s g-mail and I must have set up an account already and don`t know the password.When I request it,it doesn`t show up in my hotmail.I`ve never used g-mail,but I have a user name.I just tryed again,so I`ll check my mail.
Hasanyone heard any news on them?I don`t know how they can stay in business if they can`t get the supplies to make them.

You might check with the guy that runs http://www.offroaddesign.com/. He is/was a reseller of their products so he may know more about what is happening with the company or who you should contact about getting your money back.

This is BAD news. Mice ate a big hole in my top last summer when it was rolled up in the back. It was 14 years old so I was planning on getting a new one this spring. Stupid me already threw out the old one otherwise I could have used it to have somebody make a copy.

I got on their web site about a week ago, trying to buy the Fastrac, and had the same problem. No answer anywhere. I did find a vendor that carried STC products at onetime. I called there and spoke with sales, they said the company is NO LONGER. He hadn't heard if their starting under another name or not.

This really sucks. I better take extra special care of my top!

Well, I guess a custom top might have to be in my future plans if they don't get someone to take over their line. I guess that might be for the best since there seems to be a number of areas that could be better on their tops.

I have contacted a local upholstery shop and as soon as I recieve a snap top version of the bikini top from a boardmember, I'm gonna take that and my fasttrack style bikini top for him to make patterns and he will make them for us for about the same price. Do me a favor and PM me and I will print out your info and contact you when they are available.

If the STC style top does not get produced by someone else - I think I will get a quote from this guy for a full soft top. He said he has made one not to long ago for a 1st gen.

Which top do you want? I have a new black top (never installed) from Kayline, not the fastrac, the other one ( the one with the snaps).

It`s funny,I really didn`t want the FasTrac,but he talked me into it since in the future I could just zip out a damaged side panel and get a replacement...What future?

Special-K - file a complaint with the BBB (http://bbb.org/). They might give you a contact name and be able to force some pressure on any companies buying STC. (it's a long shot, but worth the 5 minutes online.)

I'd contact every distributor of STC products you can find and see if you can get a contact name.

Interstate commence/mail-order violations.What burns me is,he kept saying they were waiting for the channel from a supplier,they couldn`t do anything w/o it.Now I figure,they weren`t shipping the channel until STC paid them money.They knew they were hurtin`when I placed the order.They said they`d credit me when I cancelled after 2 months.That was a lie that got me waiting,it never came.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I had the same problem but was able to get a refund in Sept of 06. Best Top makes a Tiger top for Blazer's. Morris 4X4 on line have a good price on them. I am going to get one from them since STC is no longer around.

Have you check to see if you can cancel the Money Order? Go to the bank with the reciept and check. I'm not sure what the time limit is on a money order, but I'd get in there quick and at least ask.
