Right off the bat I'll tell you I don't know much of anything about photoshop, other than what other people can do with it..LOL

I want to join in the fun so I while I was on Ebay earlier today I came upon this;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=004&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=140078164836&rd=1,1

Cost was $23.45 shipped. Good deal or did I rip myself?

I found the same PS elements 5.0, (I think), on Walmart website without the Deluxe 3.0;
http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_constraint=0&search_query=adobe+photoshop&ic=24_0&Continue.x=33&Continue.y=4

I see there about a million different PS packages on the market. Is 5.0 completely outdated?
Buy first, ask questions later...:crazy: Hey the auction only had a few minutes left when I found it...

It's a very old version. However, it's the one I use... and if it makes you feel any better about your $23.xx purchase, I paid close to $600 for my copy. Of course, I've also got a machine sitting here that's got $1200 1GB sticks of RAM in it too. My how prices drop :whine:

You're right about the prices dropping! We just sold our old desktop PC for a wopping 100 bucks! 1/12 what we gave for it a few years ago. Hahaha
And we were lucky to get that I think.

So even though it's an old version I should still be able to do stuff with it? After I learn of course...
I'm sure I'll be posting alot of questions after I get it.
It will be compatable with Windows XP?

Oh yeah, you'll be able to do a lot with 5.0. I did my first 150+ signatures on 5.0 and if it weren't for the fact of people modifying their trucks, they'd still be use :lol: Except for a few hardcore editing features found in the newer versions, it's all there for you in 5.0. I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't be able to use it on XP.
