Is there anything against using signature images over here? I've seen people using smilies, but I don't think I've seen anyone with a signature in the sense that I'm thinking of. I'd like to use a static image measuring 500 pixels wide and 150 tall with a file size around 40kb. And of course it would be 100% work safe. It's not that I have a truck worth showing off, but the "sig" images themselves are something that I've sort of built a reputation on making. I just figured I'd check before setting one up.

Well, that sucks... but I can understand the reasoning behind it. Thanks for the insight.
has there been any consideration for reinstating banners?
maybe with a clear set of rules or requirements.
It's been a while since i ran a Vbulletin site, but cant you create a popup reminding the poster of the rules and consequences when attaching an image to their signature
Well it looks like they are back :c2:
Thanks :)

Unfortunately people put more than just trucks in their sigs. They also do the same in the avatar pics. Quit often we have to remove pics from avatars that aren't family friendly.
I am glad sig pics not allowed on this forum. I find it frustrating trying to read a post that has more info and pictures in the sig than the post does.
as for sig pics they are not back. VB has code built in to that allows them. This site (read Josh) does not. When they are seen they are removed. If they are added again, infractions are given.
And N2 I agree fully. Between the posts a line of flashing pics, gifs and even just tackey colors is beyond annoying. It takes away from the posts and information within them fully.

:agree: I personally hate them and they are too distracting

There was an Olds 442 site someone linked to a while back that have sig line pictures and some of those guys were using FULL SIZE PICS, that has to kill anyone with dial-up. A couple of other forums I am on allow small pics like what you are suggesting but even those slow down dial-up considerably, I know when I am on dial-up at home this site is a pretty slow load, would hate to have that slowed down anymore by sig line pictures.

:agree: I log onto this site at home from my PDA to get info while I'm working. I can't imagine how slow it would be if I had to wait for all of those sig banners to load.
