There is a '72 GMC 3/4 ton sitting in a scrap yard along Hwy 13 at Falun (just west of Wetaskiwin). Place is called Wildrose Industries and the fellows name is Don Lee. He's asking $300 for it.

I stopped in and checked it out, but it's basically a parts truck IMO and I just don't have the room for it. It's a 9 ft box step side, 350, 4 speed, not running - carb is off and no rad, otherwise complete and totally stock. Plain jane truck, orange/red paint, black interior, radio delete. Body is rough like most, pass. door looks nice. Some other stuff might be salvagable, box and rear fenders are rusted, hood is dented at front and bondo falling out.

You would probably get $300 worth of parts out of it. Or would be a good farm beater if you get it running.

Might be able to get some pics of it if you are serious and give me some time. I drive by there on occasion, but not every day.

Those 9 foot step bed trucks are VERY rare! If the box is in any way salvageable, it might be worth snagging at that price...

And the door is if is not rusted at the bottom. Every one I look at seems to be cancerous there.

The rear fenders are rusted through where they bolt onto the box sides, as they usually are. I imagine the box sides are rusted through also.

The pass. door looked pretty good. The drivers door a a rather large dent in it, IIRC.

I'd grab it and part it out, but I live in town and have no room. I miss my acreage!
