So you have downloaded BOTH Java from Java.com, as well as Flash 8 from Adobe.com ? Following the Java download/installation, you should be offered the option to test the player is working correctly.
Are you using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7 ?
Assuming you have, you need to make sure these browser "add-on's" are enabled.
Open IE. In the upper right corner click Tools button, click Manage Add-ons, then click Enable or Disable Add-ons.
Click on all Java and Flash (or Shockwave) add-ons, and Enable them.
Close and re-open the browser. Hopefully this will get your videos going.
Please note the above instructions are for XP and IE7. If you have other Operating system and or browser, this may not be the exact process. If not reply with what you have installed.
Good Luck.

Java from java.com is not javascript. Is your browser IE or something real? :P
If you're using Firefox then under tools >> Options >> Content you can "enable javascript".
If you're using IE, install Firefox ;) Under tools >> internet options >> I dunno, maybe "advanced" you can enable javascript. Any idea wht version you have of browser? Go under Help >> About * to find out.

I'm with superjeer. How about giving some more information on your setup? Can't help diagnose a problem properly unless you explain it properly! ;)

put this into your address bar
javascript:alert("hi, Javascript is running") and hit enter. Do you get a pop up?

Hey, I wasn't wrong! JS is enabled on the work computer. Didn't work. It works on the laptop here at the house though :D
FarmTruk mentioned the other step I would have in the 2nd post above - click on the Tools icon in the upper right corner and follow his steps to make sure everything is active as mentioned.

Superjeer, I tried that link but it still says it is either turned off or not installed.
I went to IE7 and the tools and made sure everything is enabled.
I have these:
Java Plug-in 1.5.0_10
Shockwave Flash Object
Shockwave ActiveX Co although it says this is not verified.
DO i need something else?
